The Chants Against Foden's Mum

I was pointing out that under equality legislation and the PSED if you are disproportionately affecting a cohort it is discrimination, it doesn't have to be exclusively affecting them.

If a term that is used the vast majority of time as an insult to women is used against a woman in that way, there is no way it isn't discrimination on grounds of gender to a reasonable man in 2025 the way the legislation has been applied and tested.
So the reasonable man thinks a promiscuous woman is a slag?

Fans don’t respect anything or anybody seems it’s ok to chant anything derogatory.

I think you’re being a bit disingenuous now if you don’t get why calling someone’s mum a slag is an insult.
I didn’t say it wasn’t an insult. I said it wasn’t a huge or significant one. And no, I don’t think it is either of those things. Because I don’t think it’s a bad thing for a woman to be promiscuous. So by extension, I don’t see that word, deployed in that way, in those terms.

We have gone into derbys chanting

Giggs is ilegitimate and having aids
Clayton blackmore being a rapist
Bobby chalton being a nonce
Vicroria beckham being a whore

not sure it is a big issue fans. tend to be cruel.

obviously in this new age where all words are now weapons it is difficult.

He needed to grow a pair and fuck every rag **** on that pitch, but he didn't so more fool was he...
Exactly if they are insulting his mum, he should use his anger in the best way possible .... to 'up his game', score goals and completely floor the rag fkers!

Great players are able to rise above, or disregard abusive chants like that, they just remain focused, and are usually instrumental in downing the opposition ...... all chants like that do is 'fire them up' to do even better!

Remember when the sticks and stones mantra held true. We were a lot less precious then. Pre the need to be liked and outraged in equal measure. Being offended is now a national pastime to wear with oh so indignant self-importance.
I find a dark humour in the depths of the chants and their formulation/adopption. Can't speak for Mrs Foden, but I'm sure she can look after herself.
Let's not get too Liverpool about words.

Still pathetic. Our own fans do this too. It's the actions of morons.
