115 truly fucked us.. our main targets said no and signed elsewhere and we had to settle for Kovacic, old man Gundo and couldn't even sign a Rodri backup.

I can't agree with that. Any negative outcomes of the charges would almost certainly be covered in contracts, triggering a get out clause etc.

Rice didn’t come because he wanted to stay in London.

Bellingham didn't come because, like it ir not, Real Madrid is a far more attractive option than City.

We were never really in the running for either, but Txiki kept trying, leaving little time to find alternatives.

Kovacic and Gundogan weren't bad 'interim' signings to be fair, but continuing to play them alongside frequent passengers like De Bruyne and Foden was never going to be successful.

Poor planning, desperate team selections.

Tbh can't see us getting anything at Everton or at Home to Villa. 6th (Europa League) or 7th (Conference League perhaps) looks likely. Unless we totally shit the bed and fall out of everything it's Thursdays and Sundays on the horizon.

And if we are honest with ourselves, it's about what we deserve as we've been dire for large parts of the season.

Still think we will get top 5, regardless of how poor we are

Newcastle, Villa and Chelsea all play each other and have got some brutal games where they'll drop points

Don't take Forest as a given either, they certainly aren't in the clear just yet

We play a lot of sides with nothing to play for so will just get over the line

On paper, all winnable games. Unfortunately, we play on grass. Any team that runs at us will cause us serious problems

Palace H 1 point
Everton A 1 point
Villa H 0 points
Wolves H 3 points
Southampton A 1 point
Bournemouth H 1 point
Fulham A 0 points

52 + 7 = 59 points

Just about what we deserve season.

I was regaining confidence that we’d make it until I saw that midfield of Kovacic, Gundogan, De Bruyne and Silva. I suspect it’s some sort of blind loyalty and giving the old guard one last run out on the big stage because he didn’t do it at Bournemouth or Leicester.

The pace was similar to what you see at Soccer Aid or a testimonial and it may just cost us now.

I think we have to be quite honest and say we now have a mountain to climb to get a top 5 slot with still some difficult fixtures to complete.
This also could have an adverse problem for any top players wanting to come in the summer should we not reach our goal.
I`m being honest and not a fucking bed wetter.

we got 11 points from last 7 games and it was a harder set of fixtures that the 7 games left.
Newcastle home 3 points
Liverpool home 0 points
Spurs away 3 points
Forest away 0 points
Brighton home 1 points
Leicester home 3 points
United away 1 point

but our form isnt anything great. nobody is in great form. Marmoush is the closest to someone in form but mostly at home.

we have not won 3 PL games in a row since October and those were against Fulham, Wolves, Soton and 2x of them at home. then our demise started.

just for comparison last 7 league games (City 11 points):
Villa 14 points
Newcastle 12 points
Chelsea 10 points
Forest 10 points

Villa and Newcastle both just won 3 PL games in a row on top of the Carabao trophy and Villa also still alive in FA cup and CL too.

Fucking hell, we're in for a rough ride here. Feels like were stumbling over the finish line. 50:50 chance of making top 5 now.

It's gonna be really tight, we're now in 6th place with only 7 games left, and one of those is against Villa .. .and we aren't even playing as well as the teams immediately around us ..... I don't think we're gonna make it this time around, and we'll only have ourselves to blame.

it will be interesting weekend we win the early kick off and sit back and watch if others fuck up their game.
or we drop points giving extra motivation for other to do their job and I guess in that case all of Forest, Villa, Chelsea, Barcodes would all win, what a shit weekend that would be.
