What do I need to understand exactly, that people running a multi billion pound business are so blinded by loyalty to Pep they will allow us to be sat in 13th at Christmas should this continue? You really believe that?

I agree that Pep won’t get sacked even if he repeats the current form next season. I cannot agree with the “easily finished 3rd” comment. The team can’t easily do anything at present.

Dont think easily is the right choice of word there. We have done nothing easily this Season, hardly going to start now.

hopefully Pep has enough drive in him and enough energy and hunger left in the tank for him for a rebuild but fuck he looks just as tired as some of the players on top of the personal struggles with divorce etc. he may could use a sabbatical year maybe obviously not possible now.

I am worried tho what the CWC will do to our fitness and pre season and how undercooked we will be in August, September due to it after a season where we looked below par all season in terms of fitness.

CWC coming in at the worst time. Most of these players have played 3-5 straight seasons of tough title challenges, deep cup runs with international competitions sprinkled in. It's very clear Foden and whichever uncs are still with us come August are in desperate need of some rest, but they're only going to get 1-2 weeks on either side of the CWC.

Now the dust has settled on Sunday's debacle, I'm hoping that team selection was based on squad management and that Pep was planning ahead based on our last 7 games being a bit easier than other teams.

had he been fit things would've been much different this season.
last season when he didn't play we lost games.
his absence is the reason we're not at our best.

and that point will be proved when he returns.

So we are the epitome of a one man team, and Pep has created that? A huge loss to us this season no doubt, but many other equally important factors have affected us.
