The post was how many times has he done that in an Arsenal shirt? I don't mind Rice, I think he is a good player. Not a defensive mid though, it's why he needs someone holding his hand for club and country otherwise he gets found out like the euros just gone.

Well if you think that was impressive go and watch how Barca totally destroyed Madrid in two different games this season and one of them was at the Bernabeu, They are still favourites for me followed by PSG.

The Euros just gone where England got to the final with Rice playing central mid every game with someone who is 'shit' and 'does nothing' (Bellingham) next to him.

That team under a different manager and fanbase would go on and win it but your talking about a club that goes way over the top over one result and for it to drastically wron when it matters and thats why they will continue to fail.

To much emotion out there rather than being calm and walking off the pitch.

Look at the results after the City game when over the top celebrations yet again went over the top.
Newcastle did them 2-0 to knock them out of the league cup.
The resulting 4 league games saw them muster up 5 points from 12 and 3 of them coming at Leicester.
They simply never learn

Haha great twist on it. Rice had a stinker of a tournament, Southgate had to chop and change what other DM had to play next to Rice and hold his hand, because there isn't trust on Rice playing that position alone. Gallagher, Mainoo, Trent all got tried there, when instead Bellingham should have been an 8, Rice 6 and Foden 10. Southgate didn't do that because just like for club (Partey - Jorginho) and country (Phillips-Mainoo-Gallagher etc) he needs a defensive player next to him
 
Rice is a very good player. Always seems to be a 7/10 and has it in his locker to give you a 9/10, like last night.Wish we'd have bought him.

Rice doesnt need a defensive player next to him per se for defensive effort as Rice is really good defensively. The issue is that Rice cant spread the play as well as a Rodri/Partey/Kroos etc and cant really dictate the tempo or control the game as the 6. He's good at driving with the ball or purely as a defensive midfielder who isnt expected to dictate the tempo. This was the issue with England. He needs someone creative to play next to him and Im unsure if he will grow into that role but not likely as we are in for Zubimendi.

I think this Real Madrid team is shit and so far away from the other years, They had to play a playoff game because they finished below the top 8 teams for a start, Arsenal will have to play the game of their lives next week and even then it could be not enough,

As I said winning the little battles can give you false hope, It's the War you need to win and get over the line and win the bloody thing,

Madrid is a different beast at home and they can ride the waves from the noise their fans make and the atmosphere drains the opponents, I call it the Moonboots syndrome. Your legs go in slow motion and players start to do the Michael Jackson Moonwalk

Madrids luck finally running out. They are a pretty average outfit who beat us through our own fault in the last couple of tournaments. They are a team of shithousery wankers who are vastly overrated by our sycophantic media

They beat us at the etihad due to Ederson errors, they battered us at their place. Was more than us just being shit, they played well and was relentless.

We were pathetic in the second leg mate, seen some shite La Liga teams put more pressure on them than us, it was a capitulation.
