The gamble the club have made is that we will be competing for the title and champions league and the demand will be there to fill those extra seats at those prices.
If we were in a live title race, there would be a much bigger demand for the Villa tickets.
There would but we're not and given the size of the rebuild needed we might not be for a while. That's also before any possible sanctions we might incur as a result of the endless 115 charges fiasco.
In one of my other posts I said the club have taken a gamble they think is worth taking regarding pricing and season tickets but it's one they might well lose badly. If our performances and success wanes they can drop prices and release more season tickets.....but would people want them if that occurs? That's the gamble. It's a policy built on sand and when the rain falls it's washed away. At the moments it's only spitting but the foundation of sand is already wobbling....
