It’s a shame Pep wanted him exclusively for his ability to keep the ball high on the left, because he could/should have been much more.

Before he signed he was second only to KDB as the best player in the league, and had he continued on that trajectory he’d have been held in much higher esteem than he currently is.

It’s been a shame for Jack, for us fans who could have been entertained by his default style of play if he’d have entrusted with more freedom centrally, and also England, who’ve lost out on one of the most mercurial talents the country has produced in a long time.

Should've been playing through the middle all season instead of running Bernardo and Gundo into the ground and playing with fire with Kovacic's dumbass.

As much as I'd hate to see him go, a move away is in his and the club's best interest. If he goes to Newcastle, maybe we can get Bruno G to come our way. Hopefully he can get his Villa/treble season form back to make it into the World Cup squad.

Lol at the idea that he was the league's second best player. You're fooling nobody, dipper/ rag.

Second best in the league? Where's that come from?

If you're talking stats, assists to be specific, which is where Kev gets judged, there was a couple of seasons period a couple of years back where James Maddison was sitting second behind Kev, but even he wasn't second best player in the league, despite an impressive amount of assists for a team heading for relegation.

I don't think anyone in the country had Jack as the second best in the league haha

It will be unpopular on here for some, but whilst he offered a vital cog in a mighty machine during the treble season. He just isn't as good as everyone thinks he is.
A superb 6 months in 4 seasons for a 100m fee and 300k a week wages is a shocking return on a huge investment.

I really don't understand many on here who put Grealish before the club, I find that strange and very wrong.

He's a great lad, a likeable character but an attacking player that has scored 1 goal in a calendar year, that is simply pathetic and inexcusable.

Compare his stats to Alvarez , a player who incredibly was not rated by many, Alvarez despite a huge 80m fee received has been a huge loss, I wish we could go back in time and have kept him.

I think the general gist is hes not really been given the chance to show just how could he actually is or could of been.

I think Peps broke him to honest, sad really but that's football i suppose.

You just know he,ll shine if he ends up at Newcastle or anywherelse for that matter.

He appears to be finished here. Pep can talk nicely about him, but even given all.our injuries and poor form he rarely picks him. That says it all.
