Liam Delap

I wouldn't be surprised if that figure is closer to £150m. There will almost certainly also be a 'no CL qualification' clause in his contract.

Real Madrid are biding their time. They want him, and when they're ready to pay, he'll go.

Not at 150m he won't.

To summarise:

Makes sense for us because he's cheap, homegrown and we can sell him on again.

Doesn't make as much sense for him because he'd be sat on the bench most of the time, but he'd potentially win a few trophies.

To be honest, if I was him I'd maybe give it a season. He'd still get a good move at the end of it if he wanted out.
I agree.

He's had a very good season and scored some great goals. If we can convince him to come back, it's a no brainer from our point of view.

He wouldn't play as regularly obviously, but he'd be starting at the moment.

But we play a lot of games, so for Pep to be able to bring him on or play him to give Erling a rest, would be an ideal like for like situation for us.

I think the experience of playing top level football, playing in Europe and learning from Pep and Erling and might be an incentive for him to show what he can do now too.

I think a fully fit Oscar Bobb and Foden back on form would cover any need for backup for Haaland and Marmoush. If we could get a midfielder with a shot like Kev had at his prime for free kicks, that would be good too, but Phil might get his radar back.

I think if we bring Liam back, Pep could well end up playing 3 at the back next year - something like:
Keeper
Khus Ruben Josko
Frimpong Rodri Wirtz Nico (Wing back)
Erling Delap
Can change around by bringing Phil, Doku, Savinho and marmoush in game-by-game.

Hope he goes Chelsea rather than the rags. I presume he has some sort of connection with Palmer too which will help them persuade him.

Can't see him coming here and don't think he should either. He won't surpass Haaland and I can't imagine we're changing to a 2 up top formation anytime soon.

you mean the madrid that got tonked by arsenal midweek, the home of the egos, i get the history of madrid and galacticos etc etc but not everyone madrid wants up at madrid, wasnt sergio supposed to be going there the whole time he was at city and he retired here. You may be blinded by the hype that Madrid create but not everyone is as enthralled with them as you are.

But well done on your continuing belief that city are some micky mouse team that big players are doing a favour for by playing for them.

You're living in a dream world if you think professional footballers don't follow the money.

The status and quality of life playing in Spain for Real Madrid is beyond any other club. It's the dream move for elite players.

Except Haaland it seems. Aguero wasn’t too arsed either. Neither was David Silva. That’s three players just from City.

We'll see - possibly sooner than we think.
if he was so desperate to leave as you keep saying why sign a 9 year deal he only had a few more years left on his deal why not run it down and see his options ps love how you totally bypassed my reply about where i sat at main road haha

why didn't aguero silva kdb want to move to madrid if it's the dream move for elite players they are the biggest team in the world no denying that but that doesn't mean every player wants to go there like i said you speak so much waffle it untrue
