Liam Delap

We badly need someone in as back up for Erling but Delap is not the answer at all.

Would be another half arsed addition along the lines of Nunes, Phillips, Gomez, Grealish.

Yes he’s doing well but he’s not at the level required. If we sign him he will be out on loan or sold within 18 months

As if you’re grouping Grealish in with them haha! Mental!

Was integral to us winning the CL with his performances against Bayern and Real. Was quality that treble season too.

Its a bit of a no brainer for a second striker tbh, price great can come on and start in many scenarios.

Also with what happened to Rodri we could do with not repeating the same mistakes.

Grealish was a big fish in a small pond at Villa and looked a world beater with them. Lovely guy, nice character and all but he’s been a complete disaster for us overall probably the worst value for money we’ve ever had.

He hasn't that's utter nonsense. Phillips and Mangala were disasters. Don't be so silly.

Yeah we all like him but for a player that has cost us 100 million he has never even really managed to nail down a starting place in the team. He was bought to be an integral part of the team not a squad player.

That’s not true. Grealish started 37 games for us in the treble season, including starting 12 out of 13 CL games. How is that “never” nailing down a starting place?

Tell me what position did he make his own?
The left wing that he started basically every game at most likely.

He was a huge part of that treble team, not sure anyone can argue against that. It is sadly true that his impact on our play has regressed and he is also now struggling with his fitness.

I don't think he has played poorly by any means the last 2 seasons, people can think what they want about that, but his abillity and style of play certainly hasn't been as effective. His numbers isn't important in isolation, he is not a numbers player but a playmaker that does his work earlier in the moves and a ball carrier. But this is largely a issue since there have been a decline of players in our squad capable of delivering numbers.

But any player key to a treble can never be a disaster, he was worth his fee as soon as we lifted that trophy in Istanbul, if not sooner
