Crystal Palace (H) | PL | Post Match Thread

appalling first half hour, but out of nowhere we clicked

full backs absolute priority in the summer

felt like its a farewell tour for the dads army but fair play they pulled their socks up and got us out of trouble

Amazing turnaround. Thought we were done at 2-0 down, but what a superb attitude from De Bruyne to refuse to lose. That’s the mentality every player needs to show in every single game.

Apart from Kev I thought Kovacic and Marmoush were great today, and O’Reilly is going to be a superstar.

The Boys in Blue didn't give in, they fought to the end. Thank you City, thank you lads, thank you fans. You showed 'em, you showed 'em all. Especially that Crystal Soft Southerners lot. What a roller coaster. :-)

Especially the know nowt alleged media crowd. That my stupid media bunch was a football game. Watch and learn, watch and learn.

Especially the Specsavers needing, whistle blowing personages in the middle and on the sides. It was a PENALTY!! But fair play the rest of the time you weren't blatantly bad. However now I think you are beginning to know who we are.... I saw the referee (you know you in black in the middle of the pitch) actually smiling once when our KDB made a superb pass. So remember we are: MANCHESTER CITY THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD. :-)

FIVE -2 ha ha ha ha

A great game of football.
There is no way that we should have been 0-2 down, and nearly 0-3, but that's the tale of our season. We were, even at that stage, dominating the ball, and that grew more and more to be the case as our midfield took over the game. Marmoush is such a threat, and Gonzalez was so good, with Kev returning to his imperious best. A wonderful spectacle that bodes very well for the future: Marmoush, Gonzalez, Dias, Khusanov, Reis, Lewis, Gvardiol, McAtee, Foden, Savinho, Bobb, O'Reilly, Bah, Rodri, Doku, and Erling is the basis for one hell of a squad, with more to come and with some supremely talented Academy players knocking at the door.

Many will reframe the story but there was something about our front 6 today that was mesmerizing.

Even at potentially 3-0 down, we were moving the ball faster than I'd seen in a long time. And the 2 wide forward/strikers were moving in disruptive ways.

I wont lie, at potentially 3-0 down i didn't see a way back. But my biggest disappointment was the fact that this team would get scrapped, even though they were playing better on the ball than anything I'd seem in months, possibly years..

This team would have destroyed United playing like they were before Palace scored.

But when the offside goal was disallowed, i was hoping to go in 2-1 and definitely find an equalizer in the 2nd. In hope that this team would be allowed another chance.

Im so excited they got the goals before Pep lost faith.

But then again, he probably saw the exact thing i was seeing.

Such a satisfying day :)

The intensity and tempo was a lot better today, we need to maintain this for the rest of the season. If we do an FA Cup trophy and top 5 place is very achievable.
