We've got Wolves and Southampton, plus Fulham away isn't a derby for us and their season will be over by the time we play them. Bournemouth's will be on the beach by the time they come to us as well. You have set your priorities right, that's for sure. Interestingly, for some people it seems it's the other way around, hating an entity more than loving City. But anyway...

A couple of thoughts regarding the match in question: Of course you would expect their manager to make sure that the team he will field on Thursday will be as fresh and competitive as possible. However he is no position to ignore PL matches, the reasons are obvious. He will definitely want a result tonight. Normally a team playing without pressure can become very dangerous. But, as I wrote in a previous post, I'm not sure how convincing / inspiring Amorim appears to this group of players...

Regardless of the BS I've been reading for ages, lack of quality is the least of United's problems. They are simply underperforming for years since Ferguson's departure. Noone bothered to study / learn the job working alongside him, naturally they are paying the price. An expensive bordello run by ignorant people, and the media love creating a virtual atmosphere around the club did them no good. LVG, a serious man even in his decline, summed it up nicely a couple of years ago, but I doubt he told the whole truth. Which is understandable, the guy worked there, took money from that place. It goes deeper. And it's uglier...

A lot of players who wore that shirt were associated with City. Their progress and career in general would have been different had they played for us, no doubt about that. It's no coincidence they have become a cemetary for players and managers: A problematic environment with a problematic culture -which has changed dramatically following Ferguson's departure...

Anyway. I expect their minds are already focused on the Lyon match. I'm not saying they''re deliberately selective, no. But with United there are always big question marks regarding their work ethic, their discipline, their professionalism in general. They are not used to working hard, you see. Not on a consistent basis. Otherwise of course they are capable of getting a result...

Needless to say, I don't give a fuck who they are and what they represent. I'm perfectly aware of that, nothing will change whether they win or lose, I require no lectures on this subject. From City's perspective, and for City's interests, I hope United walk away from St James' Park with a result tonight...

PS. Elsewhere, the complications in league matches prior to / following European matches, were firmly confirmed once again. Another opportunity, one of so many, for open minded people with good faith to reflect on the subject. You see, a lot of City fans take for granted what this team has achieved with Pep for years, playing every 3-4 days,fighting on 4 fronts. They shoudn't. And it becomes literally unfathomable considering the fact that we have done it, a) with a serously limited squad, and b) by missing players in key positions (SC, fullbacks, DM, even wingers)...

But hey, what do I know? "Time for a change", as a few cunts wrote recently, in this very forum. "It's a forum", they keep reminding us. Freedom of speech, and all that. Sure. As long as it doesn' t touch our beloved hierarchy, right? Yeah. Well maybe there is a misunderstanding with some people. Maybe, just maybe some of us simply prefer to remain silent with this fucking war going all. Because we are at war, aren't we? I know it applies to others too, but speaking for myself, that's how I understand my responsibility towards the club these days (or should I say years?). But I've said it again and again, I'm not willing to forget. No way. Time will come. Just pray, and I'm not even religious, for the lawyers to pull this shit off. Shit no City fan have created, by the way. And then we will have plenty to say. For people who are being paid to support the team. And the club in general...

"Time for a change"? Well, it's not my fault Plato's work, written like 2.500 years ago, is still misunderstood. It would be fair to say I'm not the one to blame for this. But if Plato is complicated, Clint Eastwood is rather easier: "Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one"...
