Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

Why do you have 4 tickets?

I don't understand people who say this.

I have 1 S/T and my lad has a F/G.

I wouldn’t say I have 2 tickets, even though I pay for them both.

Some people have spare STs that will rarely, if ever, be used by the person who’s name they’re in. So they are both/ all effectively theirs, in all but name.

A common reason might be that they bought their child one when they were very young, with the hope they’d get into it but they never really did or they lost interest.

So they just keep the ticket going and use it as a spare, rather than give it up.

I’m sure there are plenty of other reasons.

I’m sure there are quite a lot of dead people whose tickets get renewed every year, as another example.

Also some disabled people are eligible to buy two STs actually both in their own name. One for an unnamed personal assistant, so they’re not tied to the same person coming with them each game.

I know somebody that has a few at the swamp and one is under somebody's name that last went to a game in the early 90's. Because it has been under their name for 25 years they even have that name tag thing on that particular seat.

I know they did have an amnesty at United a while ago, where you could change the name on any season tickets. But I’m sure a lot didn’t want to risk giving themselves up.

I wonder how old the oldest season ticket holder is in English football? There’s got to be some like about 120 or some shit.

How the fuck is this allowed to happen!
Everton away tickets.
Anyone feeding these vermin with tickets wants fucking off from the club!View attachment 152979
These are the approved resellers, if these guys have tickets and it's a big if, then the club should buy them and trace them back to who they were originally sold to and then ban them, remove season card etc
This looks even worse for the semi, is this a legit reseller? Are they a Wembley reseller who will be given a chunk of tickets for the level two allocation we receive or are they the neutral tickets sold by Wembley. Either way £471 is a piss take.

To me this should be the Ticket Compliance officer's number one priority. Buy them, trace them and then fuck off the people who got them from the club in the first place.

Still amazes me that the tickets they get seem to be in rows but blues can't seem to get 2 together most times.

I have a sneaking suspicion that these tickets are coming from the Corporates and the club doesn't want to rock the boat. You wouldn't need to sell many away tickets at that price to make a big dent in the annual cost of a season ticket.

Should be illegal that.
Where the Fuck are the PL?

Oh, too busy digging up shit to charge City.

( I know this would appear be a City issue but I bet the Clubs are in it together to bump up the prices)

There is a Compo face story in the media at present

The Rags allowed people to keep hold of S/ T's but had to change the name if it had been passed on.

It meant the loyalty points accrued etc would be lost.

I think it is fair enough and a decent offer tbh.

Why should someone benefit from somebody else's loyalty at the expense of a genuine loyal fan who would then miss out on a ticket (aways and cup games)

They seen to miss the irony and should be glad the ticket was allowed to be kept but should be changed to their name.

I have just bought a ticket for the Villa game, paid £48 for it, lower tier North Stand, i am now 68 so get a discount for being over 65, no discount for being a Cityzen member!. Last season in april, i got a ticket for the Villa game and paid £38, will also add i have a ticket for the Wolves game on may 2nd, i bought months ago at £48.
That's me done for every game next season, i will do half a dozen games league or cup.
Look forward to filling in the questionnaire the club send out regarding how i enjoyed the matchday experience!!!!

But if I stood outside Goodison selling tickets at inflated prices I would be arrested for touting. I thought the point of banning touting is so checks can be made on the buyers to make sure there is no trouble between rival fans

The point of banning touting is so that individuals don't make a profit at the expense of the club. Fan safety etc couldn't be further from their minds.
