Morgan Gibbs-White

lets hope Txiki and Pep doesnt fall into love with him as they did with Grealish and didnt blink of the 100m asking price back then.

would Barca, Bayern, Real think of him and ready to pay anywhere above 60m for his services?

I hope we got burnt so much with Phillips and Nunes that we stay away from good players in mediocre sides. Forest will be back to mid table next year and was lower-mid table last season.
Not an issue, Hugo has taken over the transfer reigns, and Alonso & Co were at the Etihad earlier this week boxing off their contracts to take over from Pep. So said Twitter anyway.

You're saying wouldnt Real consider him, but then suggesting Frimpong and Braithwaite? I'm not sure they'd be on Madrid's list either.

If Real didn’t get Alexander Arnold on a free I’m 100% convinced they’d have got Frimpong.

Suits their attacking game, he’s young, he’s fast, exciting in attack and at Real they’d never worry about his defending (see TAA pursuit). Plus he’s one of the favourite players of Alonso who they desperately want to take over from Ancelotti.

I don't see it with him, he works hard and has ridden the wave well with Forest this season. Not taking anything away from them but there's zero expectation there - many were tipping them to go down.

He is apparently having the season of his life, yet his numbers aren't much better than Foden's, who has had a particularly poor season.

Exactly

Completely different system to us too, and if they get CL football, they’ll be wanting at least £80mil. Doesn’t make sense.

The amount of times we are linked with him is really starting to piss me off. Please just shut this rumour down City.

We used to be a club that competed for the likes of Yaya Toure, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva. Our standards have fallen off a cliff.

If these links are true which I deem them to be true considering they are coming from good sources, we need to start questioning the people in charge of these transfers. No serious institution sells Cole Palmer for 40m and then puts their hat in the ring for an inferior player that will cost 80-100m and still won't get in our best 11. Grealish is a better player than Gibbs White. Are we learning from past mistakes?!

Gibbs White wouldn't catch PSG and Real Madrid's bench... that is the reality.

Wake up before we get left behind.

You have to remember that they all made their names at City. 3 of the best and most important players in our history but we got hounded for spending 24m on Yaya despite him playing as CB in the CL final. KDB was the Chelsea reject and Silva was never linked with the big 2 in spain.

I’m not saying MGW will be the same. But they were not like when we were going for Haaland and was the big name everyone wanted. I appreciate Kev had an unbelievable season at Wolfsburg and amazed me he wasnt given that credit.

We operate differently. Looks at Dias or Rodri again people said we’d overpaid. Dias got poty in his first season and Rodri is the best player in the world.

City look for players with certain qualities and because we have Pep make them the very best. For every Phillips there’s a Bernado. For every Mangala there’s Gvardiol. For every Bony there’s Alvarez. We get it right far more than wrong.

I’ll back the club always. I’ll be here and at games if the 115 did actually take us down unlike (unfortunately always going to be the way) a lot of fans on here. That’s not a dig at you and I know we want the club to be the very best, but there’s a reason we have been the very best and that’s the recruitment. Viana coming in is hughly promising but should also be given time to get used to the demands.

David Silva, Yaya and De Bruyne were far more established than MGW. David Silva was a world cup winner, Yaya was a European Cup winner with Barcelona and De Bruyne was German player of the year the season before joining us. They were at different levels to MGW.

We sold Cole Palmer for 40m when he is comfortably a better player. If you honestly think spending around 80-100m on MGW is the right way to go, be prepared to be very disappointed. I'd honestly rather keep Mcatee and keep Grealish instead of spunking 80-100m up a wall on a player that isn't even good enough to get into our first 11.

The signings over the past few seasons have resulted in us majorly dropping off this season, we honestly can't allow for another poor summer transfer window or it will shape our future for years to come and not in a good way.

We also have Echeverri too who has a much higher ceiling than MGW. We simply do not need him and if the club think we do, it is very very worrying.

You talk about City looking for players with certain qualities... how has Kalvin Phillips, Jack Grealish and Matheus Nunes worked out for us. That's a combined total of 190m on players that haven't progressed us as a team.

I expect a huge window from City. I expect some shrewd deals to be done and some big signings to come through the door. If we can't get Wirtz, get the next best on the market. Players that come to this club now have to be good enough to be starting regularly.

MGW won't get in our team ahead of Foden and Bobb.

We are all going to be here for this club no matter what... but you can still have an opinion instead of sitting on the fence.
