After his performance on Saturday my heart is over ruling my head. Before then I'd accepted it was best he leave at the end of the season but I think as long as we manage his game time he still has plenty to offer and can still be a game changer. De Bruyne has said himself he will happily sign a year extension on reduced salary. His experience and winning mentality is better off here than another club next season I think.
He galvanised the team on Saturday but it was the likes of Marmoush, McAtee and O’Reilly that did the running. By next season we should have brought in 2 or 3 top class players to add to the mix. Kev would only play as a rotator.

His legs may be going but he still has the instant foresight to execute a pass to land on a sixpence or unleash a thunderbastard.
Cast your mind back to when the snide Ronaldo returned to Man U and they were virtually playing with 10 men. That’s what would happen. He’s got to go.

I hope that he is now pain-free and that his form will improve in the final games of the season but I doubt it. You can't just cherry-pick his good games and ignore games like Man Utd away. KDB will always have the ability to produce a free-kick and he played a great through ball to Marmoush but can he play like that in high intensity games when he is under pressure? Every top side needs a top quality attacking midfielders. And the odd game here or there doesn't cut it.

This debate is current football in microchasm, everything is so current and based on your last game, last week declan rice was the second coming, this week he does fuck all against brentford, last week kdb did fuck all against an appalling rag team (yes he wasnt the only one) and it was the right time to go , this week he has a great game against palace and we should extend and the decision is wrong.

Kev while definitely in the discussion for greatest pl midfielder ever has been a bit part player for the last two years as painful as that is to admit and that trend is only going to continue, can the squad carry a player on that kind of wages who can only play 20-25 games a season, the palace game has reminded people what kev was but unfortunately that isnt what he consistently is.

No way. He said: “Manchester is in all our hearts.” His wife and kids would never allow it!
Doubt his wife and kids will be bothered. They probably won’t have to move house. He was expecting us to offer him another year we said no so has a point to prove. He’s big mates with van dyke I reckon they’ll come in for him. Just a hunch and I fucking hope not but I can see it happening

Would be the latest in a recent run of unsurprising fck ups.

Surely there’s someone lined up so. You don’t let someone like KDB go if you’ve no plan made.
The more I think about it, the worse I feel about Kev leaving. I always thought he'd decide when he'd leave - even if it meant starting fewer matches because of fitness issues. When he's fit, he's the best player in the Prem. When he's playing in pain and/or with a movement restricting knock, he's still producing magic.

He has had 2, maybe 3 good games this season and will be worse next season. I totally get that no one wants to see Kev in a rival shirt, I don't want that either. But it would be like Lampard joining us, and I think there were more legs left in Lamps

So is it United then ?

They are settled in Manchester, for his wife & kids he might signed for them.

I think they can pay him as much as City are paying Grealish.
