I’d rather down a full bottle of captain Morgan then hope we sign Buck Rogers.I’d rather have the shits for a month than sign Morgan Rogers.

Well said mate. The amount of times we are linked with him is really starting to piss me off. Please just shut this rumour down City.
We used to be a club that competed for the likes of Yaya Toure, Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva. Our standards have fallen off a cliff.
If these links are true which I deem them to be true considering they are coming from good sources, we need to start questioning the people in charge of these transfers. No serious institution sells Cole Palmer for 40m and then puts their hat in the ring for an inferior player that will cost 80-100m and still won't get in our best 11. Grealish is a better player than Gibbs White. Are we learning from past mistakes?!
Gibbs White wouldn't catch PSG and Real Madrid's bench... that is the reality.
Wake up before we get left behind.
think its just he ticks a few boxes so we scouting him. Young, Technically decent, Quick, Strong, can play both ways, HG, plays CM/AM and we need all of that so he gets on the list for the 8.Is this to accommodate Foden at all?
I know he should just get on with it etc. but if we have a need for this type of player and there’s a option out there that’s homegrown, helped his team get top 4 and just happens to be one of Phil’s best mates and godfather to his children then I’m all for it.
Phil on his day is the best in the league. Let’s get him back there and keep him happy at City for years to come. He’s OURS. He represents everything about City and we may have more young players coming through but Foden has done it all here. That should be celebrated and rewarded.

KdB was the best player in Germany bar none and almost on his own dragged Wolfsburg to success. David Silva was linked to top-clubs since he was a teenager, played for one of the best clubs in Spain at the time, had a sensational Euros as early as 2008 but never left Valencia because they had this weird strategy of only selling him and David Villa as a hefty priced package deal until financial issues caused them to sell them seperately in the summer of 2010 for a more reasonable fee. This might be a daft question, but did anyone else want to sign these players before they became legends with us? I remember seeing Yaya play centre half for Barcelona and wasn't KdB a bit of an 'unknown' when he joined us? Can't remember on David Silva mind. I guess all I am wondering is whether they were other people who wanted them at the time? I seem to remember them joining us and going up a level.
Of course, these are some of the best players I've ever seen. In fact I would say that these 3 are my ideal midfield and at their best, I've never seen anyone come close to them. I hope we can find players to compete with them.
I agree though, we need to sign some top class players. We've bought enough 'for the future', we need The Sheikh to get the chequebook out and buy big!
We don't need any Scott Sinclairs. That's for sure.KdB was the best player in Germany bar none and almost on his own dragged Wolfsburg to success. Yaya is the only one that perhaps wasn't as in that highest tier of attractive in the market, simply because he was seen as a more limited defensive player in that system. Still Barcelona were the greatest team on the planet back then and they still signed him so he definitely were highly-rated.
Those 3 along with Sergio and to an extent Nasri were definitely us going out and signing the most talented or best players we could find in the needed positions, as we did later with Haaland, Rodri and Gvardiol and as I expect us to do atleast twice this summer if we want to compete immidiately again
Couldn’t have put it better myself,no harm to the lad looks a decent enough player if you are wanting to be challenging for mid table to europa/conference league football,we should be looking at a level above..The amount of times we are linked with him is really starting to piss me off. Please just shut this rumour down City.

I get Phillips 2.0I get Grealish 2.0 vibes from this deal ngl
First sentence, correct (sadly).Nothing quite like blue moon to write off a player who not only hasn’t played a game for us yet, hasn’t even been signed.
He’s going to finish ahead of the rest of our squad in the league table so maybe wind your necks in a bit eh.
I can see the logic behind this but it all gets thrown out the window if the reported fee is even remotely close that what we’ve seen. If you want to do this for 40m for the reasons you listed, sure.Is this to accommodate Foden at all?

I truly hate the HG rule, and because we are losing Walker and Grealish in the summer we are going to end up signing players like MGW who just are not at the level we require, or just don't suit our game at all.
We will end up paying in excess of £75m for him I can see it now.
