Champions League Games | Quarter-Finals | 8/9/15/16 April '25

That’s the result, but how have perennial bottlers arsenal ended up with better players than we have, with one or two exceptions?
Bcoz taking good decisions on pitch or off it is not Man City exclusive thing isn’t it?
Don’t think Arteta would have played Gundo Kev Bernardo Kovacic in same team
I still believe they won’t win CL yet

Because apart from a few young signings with good potential, we've pretty much stood still and let some of our big players get past their best with age and persevering with injury prone players that can't play half a dozen games without needing another two months off.

It's not much of a mystery

Delighted to see Real (and their entitlement) knocked out of the competition.

Mbappe's dive told the tale of the night, and Real's (especially) constant attempts to claim fouls and injury were embarrassing - accompanied by much shaking of the head when decisions, rightfully, did not fall into their laps. Well done to the referee for maintaining a hold on the game. Other than the odd Arsenal error, Real did not create too much, and St Jude of Birmingham flattered to deceive once more. He has immense talent but I fear that his ego may get in the way of his potential to reach the pinnacle of the game, massaged as it is by the media and Madrid sycophants.

Arsenal Vs PSG and Barcelona Vs Inter provide two really interesting games of flair Vs pragmatism. I hope that the play-acting is now secondary to the football.

So glad Real went out. Can't stand Arsenal but this Real team has turned into PSG from 2/3 years ago. All egos and no team ethic. They really are bunch of horrible twats.
Rodri has as much chance of retaining the Balon D'or as Vinicius Jr has of winning it.

It's interesting that one semi final will provide a multiple CL winning finalist, the other a finalist who's never won it. On that basis, it would be nice for PSG, though would be far from unhappy if Inter added another CL.

Barca, with their levers, their taking the piss when we attempted to sign Messi, and their cules (!), and arselona, not so much for me.

Mind you the QTR final was a big statement from arsenal, over a team that has caught us in it's headlights a few times. The gunners have got a good defence and they certainly know where the turf is, at this stage anything could happen.

If that's true, he should start showing it for his country then instead of being dominated by any good midfield they come up against
I don't disagree but wouldn't use England as the standard, the best player in England last year can't play for his country. Rice is a good player and a number 8 for me. Crap as a dm unless he has another dm next to him which suggests he is limited in that role. As an 8 I don't see much wrong in his game.

Think the current RM team are far more obnoxious than any PSG team :-
They all cheat by diving at every opportunity.
A few of them are thugs, obviously Rudiger leads that group.
Their captain (forget name), dived to the ground consistently.
But, the most frustrating thing about them is that Ancelloti seems to be seen as some sort of virtuous saint ?
A team reflects the manager's philosophy, with this Real Madrid team currently prepared to win at all costs...

Fair enough, I'd agree with that, certainly not a 6 as he never knows where to position himself to get the ball off the defenders

Exactly and he can't use his best asset which is his rampaging runs forward because he's tasked with being the defensive wall. England should play Wharton there and Rice further forward with a silkier type taking up the other position in the 3.

PSG have the chance to knock three English teams out and have beaten the other in the group stage.
Come on PSG beat Arsenal then get beaten by Inter in the final.
