PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If City heavily win, it will open the door back up for the Super League, as the big clubs will claim incompetence in the current management of the league.

If City heavily lose, the legal wrangle it will create, between City the league and all the other clubs, will probably last for more than a decade.

The Premier League has backed itself into a corner it will struggle to get out of.
I think you are right and we will be painted as the villain either way.

The irony being that they'll still invite City into the Super League.

And the Super League will in no time be loaded for the benefit of 3 or 4 clubs. For the rest it will like turkeys voting for Christmas.

When will the Premier League realise that it’s the richest and most powerful league in the world and the best way to retain that position is allow inward investment and remove PSR rules?

They proved that football is a product and they genuinely thought that an institution that has been around for nearly a century and a half would be lead meekly into the neutering room without so much as a whimper.

Because we said no to the demands of the red tops the cartel got the PL to poison the well so from now on whatever happens the PL will never be trusted, even if we get closed down and they burn the stadium to the ground and make the wearing of our blue illegal they've killed it.

Because they have conclusively proved it's not a sport it's a business run by and for money men, no "Other" club or fan of those clubs will ever trust them again, they'll always be wondering "Are we next?".
