At the beginning of the season who would have thought this fixture would be crucial to making the top 5?

Forest and Villa have had freakish good fortune with injuries this season. Villa especially given they had European football to contend with. Though tbf they recruited well in Jan to give themselves plenty of rotation options if needed

So, who from Villa plays the "Peter Crouch" role this time? And, will he score for them or for us, as Crouch did both to help decide one game in Spurs favor and one in City's?
 
Villa in top form. However, we are arguably now into our customary late season surge and nobody associated with City - players, management or fans - will willingly settle for a finish outside the CL places. So….

We’re unbeaten in 6 so although not at our best still on a decent run. Draw would be ok
 
Going to be an interesting tactical battle between Pep and Unai tonight. I'm sure Luis Enrique has been tapped up for some information. Villa even with 3 away wins recently are 10th overall so not the best away record this season. I'm expecting a Pep masterclass and for Emery to struggle to get to grips with what Pep throws out there. I'll see the team sheet, wonder what the fuck Pep is doing for the first 20 minutes and then watch us win the game.

Difficult game here but can’t help feel that Villa (whilst being a good side) are being heavily overrated here.
They’ve had a good week but are very average away and despite beating PSG they were pretty fortunate to not lose 4/5-1 in paris
