I agree except I don't think they were resting players for the weekend cup semi - that match was crucial for Champs league qualification and much bigger than the cup semi final. He's been preferring big nose over Watkins lately.He got subbed and didn’t finish the game as they had better options on the bench resting for the weekend. He made two attacks break down in the second half which Emeri thought he had seen enough and needed to change it.
Rashford is doing now what he’s done for his entire career. Sporadic moments of running onto a chance and getting a shot off and not much else. That the rags are getting exciting that he scored a dubious penalty against City highlights how far the have fallen. Their £350k a week poster boy banished by a manager who still hasn’t reached 40 points in the league in late April. The cupboard is pretty empty on reasons to be cheerful.
