The critical thing with Rice is that he's not a number 6. He couldn't have ever covered Rodri effectively. With his back to goal he's abysmal. It was England's biggest issue in the summer. We had no one who could pick up the ball from the back 4, turn and pass forwards. Rice can only ever go backwards or sideways in that position. When he's facing forwards and in more attacking areas he's brilliant at driving with the ball but he's more of a Kovacic where he's best alongside a more defensive midfielder.

Rice has 2 goals and 7 assists in the league this season.

Pep would be pushing for double figures in both if he was in our side and playing in a more attacking role with Rodri as the 6.

One thing I like about O Reilly at LB is how tall he is, he adds a weapon and extra man on set pieces.

Kerkez is so insanely short, I feel Cambiaso is better suited, he can also invert no problem to pair with Doku wide.

Kerkez is 1,80 =5‘11 how is he insanely short? Cambiasso is like 4CM taller and worse than him. Cambiasso is overrated. The only good thing about him is that he can play several positions.

Your right. For some reason when I see clips of him he looks like he is 5'7 or 5'8.

Dunno why the clips gave me that perspective.

Alvaro Carreras - very fast and technical leftback/midfielder, only downsize for him is that he is from Manure academy, has 50mil EUR RC

Miguel Gutierrez from Girona would be good addition

there is of course Air Nouri

Robinson played further forward this year needs to be taken into account for those asissts. He had 6 last year, 2 the year before and zero the season before that(in limited time).

Ait Nouri who has also played further forward this season with 4 goals and 7 assists in the PL is another good option.

TBH id take any of them inc Kerkes. Giving us one of them(an actual left back) and O Reilly as our options there.
