Seat Counters - 2024/25

The obsession some fans with tourists is a symptom of the shift in City support from a seasoncard base to match day fans. You call them tourists as if you know their affinity towards City. All you see is a foreigner. At least they went to the game and this was the best atmosphere at Wembley since Yaya Toure and the Man Utd semi-final.

City's problem is that we still lag behind Man Utd and Liverpool in having large numbers of London based blues because it is impossible to travel en masse from Manchester to London. There are a handful of trains, and coaches mean you get back to Manchester at 01:30 hours (without extra time).

Allocations for games at Wembley have been different, every time we played there.
It ranges from 26000 up to 37000 ish.
Highest was Chelsea at nearly 37000.
You can go back many years on the Club website under ticket news posts.

Didn't we get the most v Wigan , I was sat near the Wigan fans and we had 3 quarters of the ground
We also had over 45,000 v Gillingham

My OSC had 25 takers for tickets at the Semi Final, for this final there are presently 95 takers, with maybe 10 or so buying their own, so a good 300% more demand for tickets. We have just short of 300 members.
If that’s replicated across the match day going fan base, it’ll sell out pretty quickly.

Well let's hope you play fair and prioritise the 25 who went to the semi final as you certainly won't be getting 95 tickets through the branch.

I am seeing people who have no season card, done no games asking for 3 and 4, and they will get them

Providing they confirm the KO time.

It is replicated. Everyone I know is going, most who didn’t go to the semi.

We will get an allocation of about 30-32k to sell including returns and I predict that only the last few expansive ones will go to Citycard holders.

Maybe a very limited number would be possible. In theory you could be drawn away every game and then get a final ticket without ever going to a fixture. Highly unlikely of course, but it's a possibility.

I believe if it gets down to matchday members there should be some way of rewarding those who have been to more fixtures this season/the semi. Instead of the free for all the club loves in the hope of flogging more memberships.
Why a limited number? Why not let them them be in the seats of ST holders that dont want to be in cup schemes.
ST holders get an option to be in the cup schems before the season starts.
I dont see why someone who goes to Salford and Plymouth at homes (real glamour ties) and then Wembley should be behind a ST holder who has already had their chance and been to none.

I've already stated why. 'In theory you could be drawn away every game and then get a final ticket without ever going to a fixture. Highly unlikely of course, but it's a possibility.' There'd be absolute uproar if that scenario occurred.

I personally think games attended should be the benchmark regardless of competition. If a member goes to more total fixtures combined than a ST holder then I wouldn't have an issue with them having a final ticket.

We took nearly 10,000 more for the Chelsea semi-final last season so I find it baffling in that sense, even though that particular game bucked the trend of us not selling out other recent semis. I wasn't expecting the same number as the Chelsea game this time but I was expecting a few thousand more to go than did. Either way, it is what it is and fuck any armchair **** who calls out the empty seats. And the atmosphere in our end was better than in the Forest end, despite them hugely outnumbering our fans.
Chelsea was the Saturday. Makes a big difference to some that.

That’s the problem with last dibs! £250 level 2 tickets or nothing!

A seasonal cup points scheme perhaps? Give out more points for the smaller games.

Totally understand your point, but this would lead (eventually) to further diminishing season tickets, the club could sell cup season tickets as a package and give those seniority after STH on the cup scheme

That’s true. A mate of mine was wanting to take his girlfriend and asked if I could sort her a ticket as he knew I’d be away but as soon as it got announced that it would be on the Sunday he canned it off as he had to be up for work at 5am on the Monday.
