Champions League Games | Semi Finals | 29/30 April & 6/7 May '25

Partey's dumb yellow pretty much fucked their plan up. On the other hand, that's what you get for relying on a r*pist.

They missed Partey or Jorginho in midfield, Rice is just better being further forward.
This. 'Mystery Premier League Footballer' getting an idiotic booking in Madrid meant we had to play Rice in the plodder 6 role instead of as an 8.

But also PSG are better than us - that's clear and if they signed a potent striker and maybe a decent centre half they'd be scary.

So partey is the one that’s going to completely out run the psg midfield as he’s the bestest ever player according to the brains trust pundits

I hope we have their coach in mind if and when Pep decides to leave.

Enrique did a decent job at Barcelona, he arguably made them better than what level Pep had them at with Suarez and Neymar either side of Messi. Think he could do it here when Pep goes off into the sunset.

No goals and no particular real threat as the home side in a Champions League semi final. Poor, that.

Gameplan of counter attack/defending out the window after 3 minutes and he had no idea how to change it. And it showed.

Reliant on set pieces. Such a horrible team to watch.

Yep, complete overhype. Don't see Partey making any difference in the return leg.

They are exciting but can also defend well, kill games off.
He's found the perfect balance in the team, Plus a lot of youth in the side, Very quick and talented players but most of all they all work there socks off for one another.

The shift they put into games defensively and winning the ball back is sensational.

So the rest of the team, the whole club, are next week pinning their hopes on him?
Personally, I think he’s a liability.

Seeing Arsenal stumble tonight gives you the full measure of exactly what we did two years ago. Yes, Arsenal have despatched Real handsomely, and they may yet turn it round against P.S.G., although they'll have a hell of a job. Something tells me this is finally P.S.G.'s year. Both the F.A. Cup and the league were done and dusted long ago as far as Arsenal have been concerned..
We dealt with a still good Dortmund, despatched Bayern Munich without too much fuss, put Real completely to the sword, and then edged past a good Inter Milan (don't underestimate their chances of winning the trophy this year, either). All this, while we fended off Arsenal themselves, despatching them in a magnificent double performance between Kev and Erling. And keeping the F.A. Cup on the boil to finally win it against the rags (who were awarded an absurd penalty so as to keep it alive for the watching millions).
What we did was far more difficult and conclusive than what United achieved in ’99.
Yet more astonishing — there was no after-the-party hangover. The team still had it in them to win the league again, get to the final of the F.A. Cup (where they finally ran out of gas), and outplay Real Madrid over the two legs, and somehow just let it slip away from them. Astounding. We should actually be getting relegated this season, frankly — after that eight-year effort.
