I agree with your sentiments on McAtee but the problem is as I and others have said before is he’s had so few chances up to this point. Could easily have had 20-30 min cameos earlier in the season but of course all the doubters “he’s not good enough to replace KDB, Foden etc” come out.
The perfect rebuke to that is look at Nico O’Reilly - come in and done a great job
O'Reilly will eventually play in midfield but he wouldn't have got as many opportunities if he couldn't play fullback.

Really wanted MacAtee to come good..threatens to have a great touch ( like that touch and lob v Villa but then has so many poor first touches and lay offs..makes him hard to pick tbf...shame. I loved Lewis' attitude but saw soo many limitations in how he addresses the ball for a prem player..but his first touch last Sunday hopefully is a turning point..who knows
Difference between McAtee and Reilly is that Reilly makes things happen with the ball and without while McAtee is a shadow all game

When O Reilly was playing further forward at the start of the year he didn't look that good.
Since he has moved to the LB position, he is seeing more of the ball and looks a different player.

Yeah, he used to get caught on the ball a fair bit, and have it taken off him, but I'd probably put it down to his lack of awareness at the time, and the fact that he he was a bit 'green' to the pressures and pace of first team football at City, and the general competitiveness of football in the Premier League .... but that overlapping run down the wing of his at Bournemouth to set Citys first goal up seemed to boost his confidence no end, because i think he then played a part in our winner too!

He now looks to be a more composed and aware player, he looks confident, his passing has improved, he bags a few goals, he's got a great attitude, and unless I'm reading it wrong, he now looks to me as if he's in the first team to stay!

In fact i'd even go so far as to say that I'm hard pressed to think of a more impressive young player in the entire country than this kid from Moston right now ...

Although they’re well in the bottom half, they’re on a real run of form and will be confident going into the game.

A real test that I believe we can overcome.
They are on a run of form, that's true, but their last seven games they have played all of the seven teams beneath them.

Another one of those annoying mid table teams, that we should see off comfortably, but every so often do a number on us. See Palace, Brentford, Fulham for the script!!

Looks like a young Socrates there - no pressure lad. Reference for the FOCs there.

I haven't seen Pep's press conference yet, but mancity.com reports that "The manager doesn’t think Haaland will be involved against Wolves on Friday".

Im loving our managers presser too. Talking about being brave but also smart without showing too much respect, like we did at Anfield in the first half letting them walk over us until he changed things at half time. Can’t believe I’m getting excited we might get a result away to you guys!! Haha

Looking forward to the Friday night atmosphere hopefully it’s a good one! I won’t shy away either if anyone wants a discussion on here post match haha

That’s the Spirit!

Fed up with the fucking negativity.

FA Cup final and going for 3rd maybe 2nd in the league. All whilst losing the best footballer on the planet and half our squads legs falling off.

There's 90 other clubs in the leagues that would rip your hand off for that kind of season.
