Morgan Gibbs-White

I think NOR can play that role and looks made for it tbh.
I wonder then how buying a £100m player would affect his role next season, especially if we buy Cambiaso too?

It sounds like we're all in for Wirtz, so if we get him, i just don't think we need MGW.
Not sure we can entrust that role to someone so young and someone who hasn't fully developed physically, not just yet. We'll only really understand the full picture once we see who else is leaving this summer, and it could be that to get the best out of the other attacking players, we might need someone more wholehearted.

Arsenal seem to be doing alright entrusting LB to that 18 year old kid. O’Reilly in midfield might be a revelation - hopefully we see it in the CWC

True, yet the wings and fullback positions are less problematic; there’s more responsibility in midfield and the punishment for mistakes there tends to be more severe.

Not the caliber of player we need, good as support but already have them, we need to replace one of the best players the league has ever seen. Blow the whole fucking lot on thriller not filler.

I don't want him but I do think the club are seeing MGW as our long term Gundogan replacement.

We tried replacing him with Bellingham and then Rice before we settled with third best in Nunes 2 years ago when Gundo first left, so I see him as the profile to replace the energy and box to box play.

Wirtz is the man we have all our kingpins working on to replace Kev.

If the the club do however think MGW replaces Kev long term we are doomed going forward if that's what the club thinks best in my opinion.

Are you kidding?! Our left back position has been problematic for years!!
They're less problematic in the sense that mistakes in those areas do not necessarily lead to opposition chances, which is why Guardiola is happier to bleed younger player in those positions. I fully agree that left-back has been an issue since 2018.

Who do you suggest this “thriller” should be, just asking I’m not having a pop at you.

Walker’s mistakes at Right Back this season (and Nunes’ now) lead to plenty of chances?

No problem, to be honest I dont really watch/follow other leagues and I'm way too old for FIFA so I dont have much of a scouting network :)

I'd love Valverde but I dont think theres any chance that will happen and I was hoping Musiala might fancy a move but he's re-signed, so sticking in the realms of possibility, Wirtz seems to be the closest but I've not seen much of him personally. My opinion is Gibbs-White isn't better than what we have.

The last 3/4 games everyone has slagged off the team sheet, we’ve won. It’s almost like those that run the club know better than the average fan. If Pep, Viana, Txiki etc want him I’ll back them.
Hot takes are getting worse, need the 115 to drop so i can get my questions out and then leave.. lol

I quite like the fella. He is energetic and likes to get forward but has the legs to get back also. He's got a nastiness to him also. I think he will be supplemental to a new attacking midfielder - he could be the legs that Bernardo once provided.

Also worth noting that he is Foden's best mate. If he signs, watch Phil's form pick up again.
