Best games of football you've ever seen?

Talking of Blackburn, our away game at Elwood the season they won the Premier League was a cracking game, if I remember correctly.

We won 3-2, and I think Uwe scored the winner..
My first proper away game 15 years old, got a train with my mate, got in late but just in time to watch Coton kick the ball straight to shearer to make it 1-0. The rain was horrendous. My actual first away game was Oldham 1-0, quinn winner, but I was able to walk home down Broadway so doesn't really count i think.

Not the best game but the one that early on I was on a downer that got steadily worse up to and including half time. Then the mood started to improve into excitement and then utter euphoria with me and a mate dancing like idiots around my lounge.

FA Cup - Spurs 3 v 4 City

Wales 3 Belgium 1 Euro 2016 quarter final.
Amazing result for the underdogs and Robson-Kanu scored an absolute worldy.

England 4 Netherlands 1 Euro 1996 was a great performance

England Germany semi final in 1990, not that the result was great.

City 3 United 1 at Maine Road was my personal favourite City game.

If you watch that back Shaun W-P is just miles offside! Honestly, the linos must have been asleep or drunk. Not complaining, mind.

My favourite non-City game ever was this:

Forgive the fact the article is on a Villa blog; it’s a good read. The game itself was something else.

Favourite foreign player: Igor Belanov, check
Favourite non-City team: USSR 1986, check

But on a serious note, for me.
City 2-1 Liverpool.
In terms of quality and intensity it was near on perfect.
Both teams that night would have beat any team in history with that performance.

Agree with that. I’ve said previously on here that this was the pinnacle of Premier League football. It will never be surpassed IMO.

This rivalry doesn’t get the recognition it deserves, wonder why?

City 2:1 Liverpool was for me the best game I've ever seen from the tactical point of view. Probably Italy - France back in 2006, I always thought this was the first game of the modern football as we see it today, compared to it Ars, ManU and Chelsea of that era are mostly playing hoofing football. That Italian side had everything, mixture of 70s, 80s, 90s and then modern football.
