Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

Stop showing yourself up.
It’s not a council. It’s a combined authority covering multiple council areas with responsibilities devolved from all of those councils and from the county council. It’s a lot more high profile than just being a council leader. This puts her under much more public scrutiny than the leader of a single council which was the point I was making.

So in response to me saying council bosses use the lack of funds as an excuse/reason so she could say it, and let me get this right, you're saying her or anyone else who is in charge of a bigger authority with more responsibility cannot say this?

Haha fucking hell talking about showing yourself up:-)

I repeat play the post not the poster.

Off you pop.

Nope.
You said “same as every other council” and it went from there. You were wrong then and you’re just trying to deflect.

I explained the context of my post but you didn’t seem to get it.
Now go away and say purple a few more times. That always gets a like.
You’re boring me now with your stupidity.

As always, I’d ask what are peoples prime concerns that we need to do better?

What would be your top 5 that affects you personally?

Such as energy, food, housing costs, immigration/borders, security/policing, etc.

Why then did Labour come in and stop the NHS/Junior doctors strikes when Tories were letting them continue ?
Oh dear.... Junior (now residential) doctors having a vote this month to have further industrial action due to the Labour Government reneging on a promise to fund further rises in this financial year

Why did Labour scrap the Tory Rwanda scheme ?

I don't know - bad move, no disincentive, more than ever before are coming across illegally
Why are Labour deporting far more illegal migrants than the Tories have done ?

Because they're a racist party?

Not doing too well are they?

Reform are good at making the electorate fear nasty brown men over offering serious politics. Pandering to the rule Britannia old empire mentality.

No one enters the country illegally

it isn't illegal by international law to arrive through any means in a sovreign nation, once you do you either claim asylum or go through border controls and are admitted.

If refused or your temporary access runs out then you re illegally overstaying but it is't illegl to come here

I feel it's over exaggerated by politicians to divide us all and be distrustful of each other. Whilst the oligarchs take the piss, taking more and more of my money off me. Be it via proxy of government contracts with my taxes or ripping me off paying half my wages to live in a shoebox/pay my utility bills.

Sadly it's taking a grifter and his party of charlatans to show the main parties there's a huge divide but the careerists in those parties don't give a fuck as long as their donations are topping up their salaries.

Fair play to them. If anything it highlights the state of politics these days.

Their victories could be more important than UKIP's were, but only if the party maintains or grows its support at the GE. But long-term success will hinge on converting protest energy into consistent, organized political power (just like UKIP). And I can't see that materialising.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that on Reform's big selling point of immigration if they ever got in they'd have less of a fucking clue about how to deal with it than Labour and the Tories. In fact, I wouldn't mind betting that they'd fuck it up so much that we'd end up with more immigration - both legal and illegal - than we have now.
This.
Whilst most of the western world is turning its back on populists, thanks to Trump, we go balls deep with this group of bellends.

Soon they'll be no immigration problem as no fucker will want to come here.

They absolutely must do better on housing. A basic need imo … affordable, decent housing is a must. A society can then demand good health, social care, education and security. We have poor housing stock in a lot of towns, particularly in the North. Putting solar panels and insulation on some of these is a waste of time and there ought to be the equivalent of the ‘slum clearance’ initiative in the 60s. Of course this all needs money, which we don’t seem to have much of.

In some ways, last night’s result could be a positive as the councils that Reform now run will be under scrutiny to do well.

The likelihood is that they won’t be and there will be a lot of noise shouted, whilst those areas are driven harder into the ground.

Similarly, Jenkins is now in a high profile position and if all she does is shout dogwhistles and watch her district crumble, then it will show the electorate what these people are.

Whether they take heed of the warning is another matter.

Illegally? What do you mean by that? That we don't know they've entered the country? Or are you referring to asylum seekers? If so, they're not "illegal" until they've been processed and refused entry.
And let's be straight here...you're not referring to the African immigrant family that live next door to me, are you? They're not illegal.
