Wolves was never a hospitable place to visit back in the 70s, 80s, 90s ..... in the 70s we had to stand in the South Bank with them, and we weren't always segregated either .... you were always looking over your shoulder throught the match, sometimes you couldn't tell 'who was who' in there, and there was many a report of somebody or other being attacked, or stabbed in there...... mind you one of their lot was stabbed outside the ground by City fans either before or after a night match there, which led to the Wolves yobs ambushing our special train with bricks afterwards!
It even kicked off with Wolves fans after a game at Maine Road one season, in a street brawl at the back of the Kippax .... with missiles chucked in both directions, and fans at war.
Wolves fans were always an aggressive, troublesome bunch .... however i thought things had calmed down in Wolverhampton in recent years .... but judging by your post it seems that one or two Wolves fans still choose to live in those hostile times.
