They think they are bailing out of a sinking ship protest after the directors made a few concession with whistles and bells attached to them. They really are naive if they think it is a win for the fans
Repeated success has distracted most fans from the simple fact that the City Group has little or no interest in 'traditional' support. They're hard businessmen, not football people - They're only in it for the money and they'll aim to milk every penny out of whoever buys a ticket... The 'fan experience'.
The owners have paid no more than lip-service to local fan issues since they bought the club. I honestly don't think they'll do anything more than that even when the local fanbase declines as people die off or stop going when it becomes too expensive. Football tourists will fill the gaps.
It's the price of success. Traditional football died in 1992 and people still haven't woken up to that.
