I've never liked Mark Williams. My son was/is a avid Hendry fan. But by heck I'm rooting for him in the final - all credit to an oldie who can't see very well. Go Mark.

I would say he's not a kid, he's 28. But that is still young enough to be Mark's son..

He doesn't seem phased at all, and he has been the best player all through the tournament so far..

Daft really when I posted near the start of the tournament he's my favourite to win and how long the odds were.

Anyway, he's a brilliant player. Williams has been poor by his standards. Too many long games has taken its toll on the 50 year old.

That's not taking anything away from Xintong though. His long potting is as about as good as you'll ever see, utterly ridiculous at times. He's gonna be winning more titles for a while yet.

Williams has been missing shots he should make easily. One safety shot pushed two reds over pockets, not like him at all.
Xintong is competing as an amateur as he is still suspended from the prof ranks. Yet he gets to keep the prize money, how amateur is that?

Poor standard really after first session where Zhao was brilliant. His mistakes since just not being punished and he’s made a few. Great player though.
