Disagree re kdb. He's always been injury prone and that's getting worse. Also I would argue powerful bursts forward were actually part of his game. You can see moments of quality but I think it's time to let go. He's given us ten years and he's on the decline.

If he's willing to accept a bench spot then fine, but part of our current predicament is hanging on to players past their prime and them having a prominent role in the team. If he wasn't already injury prone I'd be more in favour, but he was available less than half a season last year and it's looking that way this year.
 
Add Rodrygo and a full back (Cambiasso?) to a fully fit squad and we look awesome. Plus a keeper if we loose one) Perhaps not the massive overhaul we all thought was needed a few months back.

I would like to see changes made to the coaching staff as well. We have a good number of young players who already have substantial playing time under their belts but whose overall game does not seem to be improving season on season.

Where did I say I want to move anyone? I said possibly loan out Savinho as it’s possible he doesn’t have the physicality yet - as many have said on here. I didn’t say I wanted to move anyone out. The names on the bottom are the other members of the squad. The point being made was that we don’t need to sign that many players to be a top side.
Maybe try reading it properly before you start casting aspersions on my genius tactical analysis

That first eleven especially back 4 has massive injury problems with stones and ake who tbh if we are to challenge will need to be addressed but going forward looks good .
 
Huijsen 50mil RC - will be world class, no doubt.

Porro 50 - Gets a lot of flak but great going forward, solid defensively and exposed by a shit spurs side.

Joan Garcia 25mil RC - future Ederson replacement, one of the standout keepers this year and would also fit Pep’s mould. Keep him loaned out for a season if Ederson stays.

Andrey Santos 55mil - 9 goals, 3 assists from CM/DM. Great defensive numbers too. The main man at a Strasbourg team on the cusp of the CL.

Cherki 25mil - Cheap, low risk, exciting and a tremendous ceiling. Alternatively Baena from Villarreal, one of the top creators in Europe.

Pretty much a full rebuild for around 200-250mil. Keep Stones & Grealish just for HG quota. Foden, Marmoush or Cherki for Kev’s spot. Rodri next to Nico G or Santos.

No way that’s going to happen - Ederson, KDB, Kovacic, Nunes, Gundogan and Bernardo all would have to leave to make room and we still wouldn’t have a spot for Bah or Reis.

City have to look at English or association trained players, hence MGW is likely to happen. I’m sure lots would prefer Reijnders or others over him but we cut our cloth carefully.

Reis will go on loan i would imagine and maybe Bah stays on loan for next season as well?
 
I think the last few weeks have taken a handful of names off the GET THEM OUT NOW list. I think Bernardo, Kovacic, Doku, and Nunes have shown that they can still perform quite well in a functioning team. I would also add Ederson to the list of players I'd be fine with staying, but it seems inevitable that this is his time to go to Saudi. We can also thank Nico O'Reilly for stepping up as a good utility player, and Gvardiol being a very strong CB, saving us from having to buy another player in the summer.

If that’s the case you are still hoping all the old guard leave. Gundogan is probably staying, Bernardo and Kovacic who knows? Like it or not we have an issue with English/ association trained players, Grealish and Walker will go this summer. Given Pep’s comments about players being available I think Stones and Ake will only be staying if we can’t move them on. Only other association player is Carson.

As if stands we have Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol and Khusanov at centre back plus O’Reilly, Nunes and Lewis at full back. We can’t rely on Stones and Ake. It doesn’t look like a title winning defence at the moment.

We are surely getting a new RB and LB though? Cambiaso seems likely so maybe a right sided one needs to be Porro or Frimpong for homegrown status?
 
TuttoJuve have looked at that in the context of interest from the Citizens, stating that the Bianconeri’s valuation of Cambiaso will now be much lower than how much it was in the winter transfer window.

Manchester City might have to pay only around €45m in the summer and that is quite close to how much he was valued at last summer
