Sam Lee talking on the athletic podcast says hes getting to the point hed be suprised if wirtz didnt join city after recent conversations. He said hed wonder what had happened if the move didnt transpire.

This could be what someone from Bayern has told him. That he is interested in Bayern. Doesn't mean Wirtz is not interested in City as well.

The article states that Wirtz told Alonso, so the information is coming from Leverkusen’s side. They even tried to contact Leverkusen, but the club declined to comment. The story was reported by BILD’s chief reporter and was featured at the very top of BILD’s front page—despite today’s news about the new chancellor losing the vote. That shows how massive this is for them; I don’t think they would have published it if it weren’t true.
 
New random name but saw a Sporting account yesterday saying Viana likes Orkun Kokcu. Midfielder who's got 7 goals and 7 assists.
 
We need a second centre forward and full backs imo. The young talent on the wings is frightening. If he can gel this lot together we will be contenders again next year.

It isn't mate.

A Bayern board member will have given that to the journalist most likely.

The journalist in mention is of Bild Bavaria, he has zero contact with anyone on the Leverkusen side.

A big one here mate is there is nothing in KICKER.

Bild is a mouthpiece for Bayern so will push out all the propaganda because it generates clicks and therefore ad revenue.

The Daily Mail do it here with United articles, writing all sorts of false information.

Kicker is the big one, because they won't push out a rumour just to get clicks. If they post its done its done.

DONT BUY THE BILD HYPE! It is a Bayen fanzine that needs clicks from Bayern fans for ad revenue.

Bayern always seem to get the best young German talent.

If they are serious about signing him. Just move on.

We cant afford to waste time this summer being fucked around by an agent who's player is nailed on to sign for the German rags.

Much as I’d love it to be true. Sam Lee is not a reliable source. In fact he generally knows fuck all. He’s just trying to be relevant..

I don’t know mate, seems like way too big of a story to not be properly verified — they’d look like absolute fools if it turns out to be wrong.

And wasn’t it Kicker who falsely reported back in December that Wirtz had extended his contract?

Wirtz was looking at the option to renew according a number of sources in Germany, but then according to some sources we came in January and offered a big fee but Leverkusen turned it down because they were still in the title race. Since then Pep has been on the blower to him intensely.

I don't think Bild care about looking fool's mate, some of the sensationalist articles written in that paper are ridiculous.

Go on the main Bild page, it's dross news articles that makes the Daily Mail gossip bar look like Kindergarten reading.

I don't know much about much but I know a tabloid paper getting early speculation wrong on a transfer is the easiest thing in the world to spin. "Plans changed", "those clubs in the end offered a contract he couldn't turn down". No one will care in 3 months.

Big Steve just said he isn't concerned after what he has heard as well.

He might well go Bayern mate, but for now I wouldn't get too worked up. You have to remember with Bild it's a Bayern propaganda newspaper because of the views and clicks it receives from their supporters.

I think with this being the biggest deal of the summer, once one person knows something, everyone will.

It will be all over the internet when someone has a grip of something of solid substance.
 
The funny thing is, we might end up with Rodrygo and Bayern with Wirtz — but if you look at it closely, it’s clear that both clubs actually need the other one’s player.

We ain't going for Rodrygo with his wages and fee stat wise he isn't good enough for what Madrid would want and wages over 300k a week not thanks
