If the Glazers had spent twice as much as they have and the team was still fifteenth would that make them twice as good owners as they are now?
They are good owners in respect that they made money available for footballing matters. Absolutely loads of it. They have failed as owners because of the people they employed to run the club.

My red mate reckons that's not enough, it should be everyone spends £1b Utd £2b just like when they were hovering up Rio etc etc, "the we win when we can spend twice as much as everyone else strategy" - well those financials rules they orchestrated are certainly having an effect!

I see Tom Stupidly has been sacked by Watford.

Another pisscan disciple making a poor fist of management.
Is there any ex-player from Fergusons time, who has made a success - ie won something or pulled a mediocre team up to promotion?

Clearly they are lacking in the brown envelope knowledge

Seen this on the caff; since they beat us at the Empti Etihad in December (a shameful display), they've won only one game against someone other than the relegated sides (Fulham away). That's one win in 16 games....

Initially that's funny, but then I just get more annoyed that we gifted them that win. :-(

I think that they are probably lacking in the contents of those brown envelopes, rather than the knowledge of how to pass them along.
