I poorly worded that. For the moment they'll take it but what's driving investment in football is not existing revenue streams but the potential for future growth and for that they need full stadia.I can only disagree.
Whilst you are correct that match day revenue is a small portion of a club's (or football association's) income, they will absolutely squeeze it as much as they can and for as long as people are still paying their prices. Every penny counts to the bean counters, especially in these days of PSR.
