100% - I was actually very disappointed that he just stuck with the same set up that hasn't exactly worked - we have zero shape in midfield and make it easy for even poor sides to cut us open. Why play players who are either gone or should be retiring? Use this game to look at the future but I guess he knows he's gone...

Cushing looks out dated with his coaching skills to me. The Women's game has moved on somewhat and watching his training vids it looks very uninspiring.
 
I mean they should probably go on and win this game comfortably but really this was a good opportunity to look at a few things for 2026. Yui further forward with Oyama defensive midfield. Layzell at left back allowing Alex to build a partnership with Rebecca. Laura B-B instead of Coombs who must surely be thinking of retiring.

Laia after the announcement should have been nowhere near this match. It's a pretty selfish selection from Cushing to me.

To be fair that was a very, very poor half against the poorest side in the WSL. Zero shape, getting caught offside time and again, missing the easiest chance I've seen in a while, second best in most 50/50's. Yui and Alex running all over the shop trying to make up for the lack of movement & effort from Coombs and Park. Other than that it's been great!

They should be ashamed of the effort in that half. As for Cushing the less said the better. He is not the same coach that left here and if they offer him the job I really believe that they will not even make the top four next year. Fortunately I have faith that Theresa knows that, she gambled with bringing him in just to get shut of the clueless Taylor.

The next coach appointment is possibly the most important call since the inception of the team. Get it wrong and we could be years behind and we would possibly see Yui, Bunny, Mary, Viv and Hemp wanting out.

That was shocking - it was harder to not score. Great move. For all the flack Jill has got you can see from her touch and movement the step up in quality from Coombs and Park. I hope she has a good summer because we need her next year under a new coach...

Kerolin misses another - you just have to laugh at least Jill was there for the tap in ..
