Southampton (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

They do have the right to be bitterly disappointed with this result - but with some, it degenerates to sounding like our delighted opponents on talkshite.
We’re still on track for CL & FA cup

We can all recognise that a rebuild is needed - without suddenly forgetting our huge successes as recently as last season

Even Roy Keane has commented that a drop off & rebuild is normal after the last 5 years of winning 4 PL; CL etc etc etc

Being disappointed should not mean we turn on the manager; club & players
that rebuild started in january with millions spent, had hardly any effect as it.

As shit as that performance was today my issue is that on paper Southampton were the easiest opponents of our remaining four games.

It hardly installs confidence amongst the ranks.

On that showing, I'd be more than happy never to see Haaland in a City shirt again.

He's absolutely useless. Lumbering about like he's out for a stroll and pretending to be a hard man.

Success has gone to his head. Signed a ten year contract and goes full Wilfried Bony.

At least Bony could dance.

I wouldn't go that far. He shouldn't have started today and after finally looking settled and putting a run together Pep shouldn't have made six changes when every point is vital. He probably thought any team he put out would win but Southampton are a fucking weird side against us, always have been no matter how shit they are playing against everybody else.
On Haaland....we may have to.make a decision on him as we have looked worse with him playing for a while now. A strong, more skilful pacy forward would suit our system.

Despite the season we’ve had, it never occurred to me that we might drop points today. Didn’t even consider the possibility. A dire afternoon.

Only positives I can think of - 1) we didn’t lose, 2) there’s no masking the issues in the squad, particularly midfield. Winning the final 3 games, maybe nicking 2nd and winning the cup may have let Pep think we’re not so bad after all.

Sure we’ll be fine for a CL place, but what a shitshow this season has been.

It didn’t. There’s never much available in January & those players are more for the future. However, out of interest who do you think was available that we should have bought?

According to who? Sky?

City OS comm's said it wasn't reviewed, and they are notified when VAR are reviewing an incident.
It was reviewed.
Stream I watched with Glenn Murray mentioned it was checked and cleared.
They also showed it twice shortly after the incident. Not a pen.
