What are posters ultimately saying about this season, especially given where the rags are going to finish and the fact we’re in a FA Cup Final?

Are they saying 1971/72, 1976/77, 1990/91 and 1991/92 were ‘shit seasons’?

Some people need to have a fucking word with themselves.

Embarrassing cunts.

How far do you want to go back to make a point?

I was born in 1967.

That made it a great year for City off the pitch. ;-)

Newcastle need to win imo. if they draw or lose, then Forest and Villa will catch up to them.
to go into Arsenal away game from 6th or 7th place will be very hard. and Moyes-Everton can troll them in last round with some physical meeting between them.

but if they can beat Chelsea thats lot of confidence going into Arse and Everton games and basically can even go for 2nd place vs Arse if they lose to dippers first.

The issue is today’s performance but not all the league wins that immediately preceded it?

How is that ‘the issue’ and not all those victories?

It’s mental how easily some folk just crumble at the slightest bump in the road. Judging by your username you’ve obviously been supporting us for a while, and obviously through some challenging periods, and yet our success appears to have made you totally unable to cope with any form of adversity to the extent that you think that a group of players that has delivered for us again and again is incapable of winning a home game and drawing an away game against mid-table opposition.

God help you when we actually turn to shit, rather than sitting third in the PL.

If City win one of their two remaining matches, to NOT finish in the top 5, all this needs to happen:
I'm assuming Arsenal will get the point they need, but if I'm not mistaken even they could miss out on a top 5 place mathematically.

Newcastle and Chelsea BOTH need to win two of their last 3 (and they have to play each other yet), while Chelsea also have to play Arsenal and Newcastle have to play Forest.

Villa need to win both matches, home to Spurs and away to United.

Or course you can go off at tangents all over the place depending on the head-to-heads with the other clubs. Easiest way to think about it at the moment is if City win one more and Forest lose one of their three remaining matches, City qualify.

If we win both we definitely qualify.
Newcastle have to play Forest?

Newcastle will beat Chelsea but lose or draw to Arsenal next week.

Chelsea will beat United next Friday. though.

Forest will beat Leicester and West Ham

Aston Villa will win all 3 of their games as they play United and Spurs either side of the Europa final

City will beat Bournemouth.

Meaning..

All teams will have to win on the final day to get a CL spot and one game will have 2 playing each other.

PL gets the final day they want.

As is to be expected in a forum awash with fannies, there have been some absurd comments today but yours is right up there with the daftest

Your contention is that the greatest manager ever to grace these shores will be gone in 6 months unless he gets this shit together

Just to clarify, "this shit" means 3rd place in the league and FA Cup finalists ?

Overreaction sure I agree mate. But let’s face it we’ve been shit now for at 7 ish months. Others have been too as somehow we’re still in the race for fifth but it doesn’t change the fact,

Cup final is great and you can only beat those teams you’ve drawn against but come on mate we’ve been lucky with the draw this year.
Or is it really such a great achievement to beat Salford, Leyton Orient, Plymouth, Bournemouth and Forest?

We scraped past Villa and Wolves as well. If we had drawn v Villa then beat Wolves and Saints our outlook would have been more positive but same number of points. One result really changes the mood doesn’t it? If we lose the final I can see us just collapsing

That's the spirit.

Dumb question as am horrendously hungover. Do we want Newcastle v Chelsea to be a draw?
id say a draw now after us droping points, def not a chelsea win, by saying that 3 teams will qualify and it doesnt matter if were 3rd or 5th so maybe surrender a spot to newcastle therefore the win is ok, either will do IMO, so after that chelsea have the rags which they will win and forest away, were still in a good position despite what posters are saying. i think chelsea and villa lose out if the above happens today and forest in the background hovering could be a safty net
