This will also be valid in 6 months forward (except in the case of Rodri) I'm not a fan of Gibbs White, I don't like his statistics and the fact that at the age of 25 he plays for damn Forrest (I'm alluding to the fact that he should have had a bigger career by now) but the fact is that the guy is noticeably better, more useful and more ready than Gungodan, Kovačić, Bernardo, Nico Gonzalez, KDB and Foden. Not everyone plays the same positions, but that's the bottom line. It is unfortunate that this is happening

This is where being ‘nice’ and ‘holistic’ gets you.

We got away with it for ages because of some shrewd buys and some great players being at the club. Now most of those have left or got too old, our reticence to break transfer records or upset the red shirted pricks is biting us on the arse.

Need to show some huge bollocks in the next transfer window if the club is actually serious about winning the title and CL again. We won’t do that with Bernardo, Gundo and Gibbs-White in midfield.

How about we act like the second richest club in football for a change!? We fucking need to.

Best? Nope!. Physically fittest? maybe..But we are struggling to beat Southampton, so being better than such isn't or shouldn't be our target.

I do think he will add a bit of grit and energy to the midfield, especially off the ball.

However, I genuinely don't see what creative improvement he is going to offer this team when it's clear as day we are in desperate need of top class creativity.
 
if a deal can be done for 20m+McAtee than ok but anything like above 40-45m will be a robbery. I think he is a bench player for us, used in rotation which is also important with so many games next season especially with our fucked up pre season thats coming up due to CWC.

can even see Pep saying after few months that he is not clever enough to play midfield ad he would be used fullback or winger.

but still think he is a better player than Nunes was at Wolves so in that sense I can see a Nunes upgrade in him but should that cost us 60m or 80m or even more? lol
 
A good addition, but we desperately need to add a creative outlet. A new KDB. He isn't it. If not Wirtz, then who? I fear the club is just content with MGW. A recipe for disaster.
 
We are becoming a club full of self entitlement fan base, we need energy and pace in the team as it was prime walking football yesterday, no one is a cert to do well and some players surprise, everyone was getting giddy about Wirtz, how do we know he would have even adapted to the prem? Havertz was the next big thing in Germany and how has he turned out? we have been blest for the past few years with some the the finest players ever, and for me irreplaceable, I’ll support whoever pulls of the blue shirt and always have done!

I think the club know he’s not a 10. There will be moments he plays higher up if he comes here but that’s not what they want him for.

I imagine if no Wirtz they will back Foden, Marmoush and even Bobb as 10’s

Wirtz is generational and we’ve been looking at him for years.

I could see us getting a player that can play as 10 but also out wide though, especially if we lose Grealish, Bernie, McAtee. Who though I have no idea.

I don't understand the self entitlement shite.

Not rating Gibbs White and wanting a better quality player doesn't make anyone entitled.

It seems the biggest appeal is he brings plenty of energy. Soucek has covered the most ground out of anyone this season. Would you be happy if we signed him?

6 seasons as a senipr plater, 3 of them he was semt on loan to the chapionship with no team he went to picking him up, 2 season before this at forest where he was ok in relegation battles, but never ripped up any trees

This season in a much more solid and counter attacking team he has done fime but again hardly breaking into the team of the season.

This isn't entitlement from people it is assessing his career and not seeing how he improves us or fits our style of play.

Next year is no time for one of Peps experiments on moulding player i to new things like he has been doing to Gvardiol, Lewis and O'Reilly in the last few seasons and buy player we need in the positions we are weakest

new RB
prolific goalscoring midfileder/right winger

MGW doesn't fit any of them and in ORielly in his real postion, Kova pushed up, a hoppefully rejuvinated Foden and Rodri/Gonzo being able to play box to box for the fee just smacks of another philips.
