Panic buy in January, just a much needed body, for his own sanity he should of stayed in Portugal, will never be a regular ar City.

We've chased this guy since he was a very young lad, even having his dad on the coaching staff at one point.

I don't see why he's not being given time to bed in?
Seen a theory in the Pep thread I can get behind that Pep's giving the uncs the chance to play for their futures at the club which pretty much screws Gonzalez for playing time. We've pretty deliberately gone after Gonzalez, so I think the context of it having been a poor season for the club and the coming rebuild means his playing time is being sacrificed now. Think he'll be a regular next season as we build the foundation of a more stable squad.

If we ever try the treble system with 4 pure defenders in the back line but Stones goes into the midfield... I think Nico would do very well in that role.

He has crazy high aerial stats for when he needs to sit in a back 4, but he also clearly can enter midfield.

At least he's enjoying the weather.

It's been as warm as Portugal over the last 3 weeks.

I think him and Rodri will play next to each other next year, we are so easy to play through and the prem has evolved again this season back to front quicker so these two together I think will allow a more fluent AM and front three

I reckon he will be really good next year
Pep just isn’t gonna change it now
More about pep than nico
Strange because we payed over the odds in January when we could have waited
Clearly Pep does not rate him ,why was the urgency to sign him .We would have had many options

He should have stayed where he was to be honest, such a shame that Pep would rather use Kovacic rather than one of the best young DM in Europe.

Kovacic has been playing very well recently to be honest and has earned his spot. I’ve been very critical of him this season to the point I very much wanted to see the back of him come summer, but credit where credit is due he’s been great and dug us out of some shit in the last several weeks.

Nico isn’t a bad player whatsoever. Pep is working something out tactically and Nico is getting the short stick for playing time as a consequence.
