Well with their booing of Tront and the media backlash/attention on that it's achieved the aim of taking attention away from them winning the league. The focus now is on whether Dipper fans will boo Tront when he lifts the trophy. Basically their moment in the sun has been tarnished and, as is usually the case for Liverpool, it's all self inflicted.

Job done.

They can't get in their heads that there are bigger and better things out there. They convince themselves that Liverpool are all that matter, scouse not English, us against the world etc that they cannot comprehend a player would ever leave. I've seen posts about him being a money grabber, like Liverpool were going to offer him peanuts. He has a chance to go to Madrid, play and live in a better area, better weather, with a close pal and teammates like Mbappe and co.

What I would say though, if this was Foden we would be annoyed. Think back to an inform Foden as this year people might not be as bothered, but if he left us, in his prime, to better a rival team in Europe it would hurt a lot more than anybody else leaving. I can understand their frustration but as ever, they have to ramp it up a few notches.

But if anyone in the media dared to point this out they'd be committing professional suicide?

Have to say that I was disappointed by the reaction to Trent coming on yesterday. I was then willing him to stick that free kick in to silence the boo boys and remind them of what he has done for us.
Even for nothing else he should be remembered for that corner and helping us out of that 30yr wilderness.
For me, the biggest disappointment is that the club didn't perhaps do more to sort a replacement out sooner so that we could consider selling and making some money back.
You cannot fault him for wanting to secure his and his families future. It is just the way the game is now for top players, they have the power and the fans booing need to bring themselves into modern times with regard to the idea of players and loyalty.

They're not boo boys, they're passionate fans and Trent said he was one himself. What fan runs his contract down and leaves for free just as the club are on the up? I agree with them. If that was Foden, I'd be as angry as they are.

I imagine this was more about the club and his agent going to the brink - the agent assuming LFC would better any offer from RM. Apparently not, and let's face it, agents don't make as much money if players stay put.

Secure their future? Another deluded dipper who thinks it is solely a money decision.

Be funny if Trent refuses to come on in the last game and leaves the stadium right on full-time. That or he scores a banger, doesn't celebrate and then walks down the tunnel. That would be a big 'fuck you' to the boo boys.

I'm either case I very much doubt he'll be at the trophy parade unless he goes in disguise.

The club could have done more to prevent the boo boys by putting out a statement that wasn't ambiguous, something like "DON'T BE CUNTS" or along those lines.

It's appalling really.

You sign a five year contract. You stay for five years. You leave. He committed to the years he said he would, at what point does anyone have any other say.

All these supporters acting like wannabe accoutants demanding the club is owed a fee from a departing player. What a load of shit.

Add in the fact that Salah and Van Dijk were almost in the same position, and it’s a club problem, not a player problem.

Most footy fans when you get them alone are usually alright

For a good while now, the TV pundits and whatnot have been disproportionately Liverpool and United players. The main stars at Sky are Nev and Carra. Keane is usually knocking about. Even match of the day they used to have Hansen, Lawrenson and co. Scholesy used to do a fair bit. Rooney pops up a lot more now, I'm sure the list goes on.

I think the disproportionate representation on TV from ex players of certain clubs who are naturally gonna be partisan make people think all footy fans are like that.
Scholesey and Carra? Ffs, you need to have a serious word with yourself
