People worrying about this palace team is it the same palace that shipped 5 to us 5 to Newcastle and drew 1-1 at Southampton. And let's get it right look at the stats v villa shots s.o t possession corners pass accuracy all in villa's favour a freak result and that against a villa team out on there feet.
To be honest we should be beating Palace. I suspect what everyone's saying is that it's Pep that 's worrying people. After that incomprehensible team selection for Southampton, and then the even more incomprehensible reticence about changing up what so clearly wasn't working early in the second half.
1. Don't pick players who have been so patently out of form for weeks.
2. Don't pick players just coming back from injury and who usually take two or three games to get up to speed.
3. Don't pick players who have been among the greatest for us in the past, but who can only deliver one good game in three — or four — because their bodies simply can't answer the demands of a string of hell-for-leather games (and this will be one).
By all means keep all three categories on the bench for impact in the second half, as and when necessary.
Those principles seem simple enough.
