Florian Wirtz

That doesn't matter, you should be able to understand the difference

This is the problem, people sometimes only believe something that supports their own narrative, you can't micro research every single bit of information given to you by the media the default position should/could legitimately be that they all manufacture their own truth to sell papers and clicks.

Understanding the difference between a truth and a lie isn't that straightforward, ask Tony Blair.

At what stage can we be excited

This is Lyall trying to stay in the news/ahead of others by tweeting early.

Obviously we're hopeful of doing a deal, surely that's the case for every fucker we try and sign? We don't try and sign somebody if we're gutted about a deal being done?

Transfer jargon winds me right up.

If you had asked bayern munich if they thought that falk was telling the truth and it was fact they would have told you yes, thats the problem with the internet, any opinion you have or mistake you make will be found and presented to you regardless of how long ago it was

I think the bigger takeaway from that is that christian falk who is a renowned journalist and supposedly the font of all knowledge when it comes to german football and especially bayern munich is actually full of shit and nothing more than a bayern shill

I think this is De Bruyne round two, which is fitting as we are looking to replace him. He will probably be happy with either option but when it comes to dealing with Leverkusen we will be in the stronger position.

They're losing their manager and their best player, they aren't going to let him go to Bayern if they can avoid it.

If Wirtz is happy with City as an option it's job done.

Right, so he gave an opinion rather than information. I presumed it would be that. People are incredibly stupid when it comes to separating the two.
The second bit is definitely an opinion. Not that it matters but the first bit isn’t. If he began the whole sentence with “I suspect” it would all have been opinion.

Not worth giving him grief for though as it just the old “things can change fast” again.

The media lie constantly now, there is no defined truth just opinion based on clicks and traffic.

The day of the shoestring is gone.

tbf mate how often do the media present opinion as fact these days.

To be fair it could be a fact. At no point did it state Bayern and Bayer had agreed a deal. Only the player was happy. De Bruyne was happy to go to Bayern or City, but we were the ones who got the deal done with his club.

This feels like the same situation. Bayern are stacked with attacking options too, his prospects at City are much greater.

i'll get excited about this after we qualify for CL and not before.

still nervous that we play bournemouth and fulham needing to win both.

extra pressure we could do without and not guaranteed by a long way.
Won’t 4 points more than likely do us for top 5?

The longer Bobb has been out, the better a player he's become.

Don't get me wrong, the flashes we've seen he's clearly a talent but he's one to ease into a functioning team rather than be planning next season's starting 11 around.
I'd disagree myself, a fully fit Bobb makes me happier for the future than any number of signings like Wirtz or Reijnders.

I think this is a myth.
Manchester City is recognised as a powerful club - the best in the PL and one of the best in Europe. We have the structure, finances, facilities, coaching and reputation to appeal to the very best, regardless of participation in the CL for one year out of the last however many.

And me. I watched enough academy games to know that this player is a serious prospect. Rushing him back after a broken leg and a hamstring injury would be a mistake.
