Interestingly he’ll become only the 4th Dutch player to play under Guardiola
And one of them was Stoke great Ibrahim Affellay.

To be fair, it says a lot about how Peps era has coincided with the worst 10 years the Dutch has ever had in terms of developing players. They all started popping up over the border in Belgium suddenly. It is slowly going back to normal though it feels like

Currently now at NEC Nijmegen and there’s calls for him to get called up for the USA through his mothers lineage
He's a decent footballer but just physically incapable of playing the volume of games demanded at the very top, especially in quick succession. That problem might also make playing at international tournaments difficult, unless the coach is prepared to take him and use him in rotation.

I always thought there was also a long-held reticence to negotiate for Dutch players, particularly when almost all young talent was hoovered up by Mino Raioloa. I know things changed subsequently with Haaland, but the impression remained strong.

Can't wait to see him hit his goal celebration in sky blue, I can envision you'll have haaland joining in as well taking the piss

Love the commentary in the Bayern Forum, just one example:

- According to Romano, Man City have made a first offer for Reijnders. In winter 75mio for Marmoush, now xxx mio for Reijnders and then around 150mio for Wirtz? It is well known that Man City have not been prosecuted for many things, but isn't there an end to this at some point or can it all be waved through like this?

Answer: As a state-owned club, City has become too big and powerful to be seriously regulated.
I can't think of another club that decimates domestic football in their home country as consistently as Bayern does. They're the biggest bunch of hypocrites imaginable.

Do they not understand the concept of irony in Germany?

Last i checked none of our execs had served jailtime.

Dou you want more from the Bayern Fans? Last one, because it is the wrong thread:

Of course there will always be someone who wants to go to Real Madrid or Barca, because they are simply Real Madrid and Barca, but they don't go to City like Gvardiol, Marmoush etc. because it's such a cool club, they go there because they earn many times more than what they get in Frankfurt or Leipzig, and maybe because Pep Guardiola is still the coach there.

Yeah I thought it was really strange but started to dig into it and found some reports of Pep not liking the Dutch guys in the changing rooms when he was a player, despite his idolisation of Cruyff.

It’s probably not that, tbf it’s been relatively poor era for Holland in terms of top class players since Pep got to Bayern and beyond.

For anyone interested:

Barca: Affelay
Bayern: Robbben
City: Ake, and hopefully Reijnders
Dutch players have a developed a reputation for being argumentative, and difficult to work with, which is obviously an overly simplistic view and a stupid generalisation because they can't all be the same, take our very own Nathan Ake, lovely bloke.

The only problem with clearing so many out in one fell swoop is that the depth in quality/experience just won’t be there, especially when things invariably go awry next season. That problem will be even more pronounced if the replacements are largely young and new to the country/league.
After the last two seasons I favour ripping off the bandaid, but I suspect the club will pin another bandage and pray for the best.
Seems like you've forgotten about Pep's second season when we shipped out between 10 to 14 players.
What followed after that was the centurion season.

True, but the circumstances are not really comparable. Many of those players were freed and all of them were legacy players inherited from other managers. It's much harder wielding the axe on players who have run through walls for you, including this current season, and who are still under contract.

That's why we have a DoF

Sounds like they need a schmoke and a pancake
