All pre made being kept warm. Plus they do indian, chinese and even lasagne. Just doesn't appeal to me that.Current reviews are that it's terrible and it will be until they properly settle in, but it still won't be great even after their bedding in period
Me too. It's a pain in the arse but worth it in the end.I cook a lot of my own BIR style curry, make my own base gravy and all that.
Bombay to Mumbai in Bramhall another level . Donia the proprietor is also a trained opera singer she will occasionally entertain the diners.
The ultimate pyramid scheme.Imagine how much money they’ll be able to launder each year

Last Monsoon is still good, the usual stuff, but done very well imo.The Last Monsoon was really good last year (review below). We'll have to try the Pyramid but not a fan of buffets.

June 2024. Stockport. “A gallon of Unicorn, and a greasy lamb dhansak, a night out in Stockport… ” Actually, that would have given John Denver a bigger hit than his paean to Sheff…retiredmartin.com
I remember Ray training as a butcher in Pete Williamson’s shop in Heaton Mersey. The Kush in Heaton Moor was an institution.
Got to the stage where the food was genuinely superb. Ray Carter the Burnage butcher supplied the meat which was excellent. Ray passed away about 10 years ago. The Kush was run by three brothers who were great lads. Sadly the family suffered a bereavement and closed some years ago. Real shame… Lovely family and iconic restaurant.
The last monsoon is fine, eaten there and had their take-aways a number of times. The Crown on the other hand.....used to be a fine real ale pub, then changed ownership. Haven't been in for a couple of years now but the last time it was occupied by a number of scallys, looked like a collection from some OCG crime drama. The Last Monsoon was really good last year (review below). We'll have to try the Pyramid but not a fan of buffets.

The owner is a Goan spud btw and loves to talk football ! I was in there on weds for a takeaway - excellent as usualDefinitely going to try this over the weekend.
Been to the Kush many times always loved it .Not sure if it’s true but someone said one of the chefs from the Kush now owns the ‘royal chef’ takeaway down the road in reddish?
Looks like your standard Indian takeaway from the outside but might be worth a punt
interesting - I'll give royal chef a go then.Been to the Kush many times always loved it .
In the early days we used to go in when all the pubs were closing they would still be serving as long as you ordered food ... it was always poppadom's and lager.
The Royal Chef definitely has a Kush connection, the Chicken is not the cubed shite and the chips are more like mini roasties and the Madras is the same, maybe one of the chefs is from there but don't think he owns it.
Think its Sami that still makes the curries that you can buy for at home.
Also they have a few pop up Kush nights at the local restaurant's on the Moor, there's actually one tonight at Pokusevski on Shaw rd. .
Just a warning that I've not used it for awhile.interesting - I'll give royal chef a go then.
Had no idea Kush was still sort of going as a pop up. Pokusevski's is a lovey place. They should do something at Reddish Ale, they always have restaurant pop ups on and it's really successful.
My mates owns the company that has done all the fabricated stell work $$$$The ultimate pyramid scheme.
