"Doctor Who could be cancelled thanks to Manchester City"
Now being blamed for cancelling Doctor Who. Clickbait link.

“Rashford had harboured hopes of a move to Barcelona in January but no deal materialised. Ideally, he would prefer to play for a club who are in the Champions League next season. It is not clear whether Liverpool or Manchester City would be interested, or whether the player would be prepared to join United's fiercest rivals.” [my italics]
Fuck me.
That's like an etate agent trying to flog Steptoe's house as a desirable Mayfair residence

Can't understand anybody who slags off the BBC then pays the licence fee, must be scared of a knock on the door.
At least 3 years since I paid up,
Collect the letters they keep sending me, upto 32 now, don't bother opening them.
Had a knock on the door once, asked them who they were before answering any of their questions, then said no thank you.
Can't think of a more shameful job.
Originally when I stopped my license I told them why on the email, they then said that they are not responsible for the BBC's content, the second time they asked me why I didn't watch the BBC I told them to fuck off - simples.

Or to put it in another context

Lefty Golblatt had harboured hopes of a candlelit supper for two with Susanna Reid. Ideally, she would prefer Brad Pitt, or her current millionaire boyfriend, rather than tuck into a lamb naganzi and keema naan, with a bloke that sometimes goes to work on a bike at 0530 am

Ah, come on, lads.
Anybody who thinks City trying to win a 15th (or is it 17th) trophy under Pep is a better angle for a Cup Final story than Crystal Palace being in with a good chance if winning the very first piece of significant silverware in their 100 or so year history is away with the fairies.
There has been a litany insults thrown at and injustices done to City by the fourth estate over the last decade and a half. I was amongst the first on here to say so - back when people who should have known better were pooh-poohing our examples and calling us paranoid. I'll never be convinced that they didn't and still don't largely hate our success.
That said...
The media focusing on Crystal Palace is not - I repeat, not - about being anti-City.
It's about being pro-Cup. Giantkillings and underdogs having their day in the sun is everything the cup should be about.
Look, I hope to fuck we ram another five goals past Palace tomorrow (only this time with none conceded) so we can all wallow in the smacked arse expressions of the usual suspects but come on... but we should all perfectly capable of understanding why they'd like to see Palace win.

"City have won 14 major trophies. We aren't counting the community shields.."

"If Palace win then City are trophyless for the first time in 8 years..."

Only relevant when a redshirt wins them on the BBC

Natalie Perks now getting wet over Eze.
Irritating squeaky voiced NP?

Eze like a Sunday morning? Let's hope not.

I get the underdog narrative. Everyone apart from us and Brighton fans will want a Palace win. It's the snarky asides and constant digs at our club i can't abide.

14? League, chumps league, CWC, league cup, ECWC……. Oh well….

And Liverpool have won over 20 league title according to her...
We could be playing the league champions in this final and they wouldn't want city the underdog to win in that
It would be a Dipper wankfest willing them on to do the double over the state owned cheats. The Community Shield will be THE trophy to win should the match up occur in August.
