Premier League Games | 16/18/19/20 May '25

Wouldn't it be funny if Arsenal failed to qualify for the CL, not much chance of it happening (15%), but a chance nonetheless.

For me tomorrow is the bigger game, cups do not come any bigger than the FA cup. If we are worried about Bournemouth we don't deserve to be in the chumps league IMHO.
It's not Bournemouth that's the problem. It's how we choose to play against them.
The same goes for Palace and Fulham; we are better than both, but will we show it?

Because Stamford Bridge is less than half a mile away from five tube stations which are connected to three different Underground lines, and because it's situated in a capital city that knows how to move massive groups of people very quickly. The Etihad is stuck on the edge of a council estate and next to about three tram stations, all of which are on the same bloody line anyway. Metrolinks hold about 10% of your average Underground train and they only turn up once every 15 mins as opposed to there being one coming in every time you turn round in London. If you get out of Stamford Bridge a bit late after a night game you'll still make it home for 11 - if you get stuck at the Etihad after full-time it could be the next day before you're out of the area, unless you're willing to walk a mile back to Piccadilly. The two are not comparable.
I'm pissed off that I used to walk all the way to Earls Court after seeing City at Stamford Bridge if it's so easy to get away from.

If we win today there's an extra Thursday League place based on league position if we finish in the top five. That might change the dynamic for a couple of teams before Sunday's games.

Our results against Southampton, Tottenham and United this season are embarrassing given what they’ve served up all season.

That’s 11 points pissed away.

But the reverse is also true, that we've surprisingly claimed back 12 points with wins against Newcastle, Forest, Villa, and Chelsea - three of them when our form was shocking. In the end you just get the points you get. Sometimes the cards fall right and sometimes they don't. It's still in our hands and we can still finish on 71 points.

Yes, it's still down to us. A helping hand is always nice, but we need to show our mettle over the next week.

It's been a long and arduous journey to season's end and, despite our crippling injuries and the dreadful form we've endured throughout, we've a chance of the FA Cup and a top 4 finish - both of which we'd have ripped someone's arm off for a few years back. We've no cause to be downhearted after the season we've had, quite the reverse.
The dippers are the only team to have shown a bit of consistency and deservedly they win the title, the rest of us have been bloody awful for some reason, but the rags are one place off relegation, that in itself should cheer us to the rafters.

We'll come back in August, a different City: a renewed vigour and a determination to put this season behind us forever. A few new faces and the return to form of a few others (especially Phil) and we'll be the City we've all come to know and love.

Maybe this season has been the kick up the arse we needed?

That’s the 83rd goal that Southampton have conceded this year..
We could only muster 1 goal in our 2 games.

Brave Southampton managed to hold out for six minutes at Woodison after throwing their bodies on the line for 90+. minutes against us, hope they go down and never come back.

It just goes to show how much differently teams set up against us.

Look how wide open this game is compared to when we played Southampton.

I know it's our job to break these coward fuckers down but it makes for very dull viewing.
