Chasing a goal and seeing Akanji constantly on the ball was horrible. Can’t we go back to proper full backs next year.

At least when teams park the buss that way we can double up down each flak with actual threats.

Instead of having everyone central.
Playing Akanji and O'Reilly at FB in a cup final, heads should roll really

Way happier we lost to a team like palace, people forget how rare it is in today’s game for fans to see their team win. Credit to them and I hope they party early into the morning.
Yeah, if we're gonna lose I'd sooner lose to the likes of Palace than a few I could mention.

Well the dog turd of a season is nearing its end thankfully and we are getting what have deserved which is nothing.

We can go on for ages about the shocking non-sending off bottle job from the referee and VAR, the penalty miss, the blatant time wasting from Palace but the writing has been on the wall for this team. It's not good enough, not by any means and a massive rebuild needed or we are in danger of falling behind for seasons to come.

We had the kick off in the last fixture and it went back to Keating but it was the fourth pass where she received it! It's mind numbing to watch and easy to defend.
Yep. The club needs to accept that the style of play is predictable. The Women's coaches need to realise that theyre not good enough to pass it out from the back. We can all see it. Why cant they?

Haaland first 2 games back - no team goals in 180 minutes.
He makes us more predictable, one more dimensional and adds very little to our build up play. I don't care about his personal stats, our team goals numbers have not improved since he joined.

This is a serious problem.

Of course I do. Doku was attacking all afternoon, and if he hadn’t been double/treble marked he would have gone past his man a lot more often (not that he didn’t).

He held on to the ball far too long and didn't recycle possession enough. I can forgive him for not being able to take on 3 defenders but not for making the wrong decision so often.

When you’re faced with 2/3 men to beat, I’m guessing he’s advised by the coaching term to pass it back to the player behind to it can be moved to exploit somewhere else on the pitch where we have an advantage, and that’s good advice imho.

I could understand last season. The excuse they game was the lads were drunk because they had made history with 4 in a row. Despite being the 2nd worst side in Utd history I let it slide.

This season there is no excuse. They had a week off. Had to make a reaction after drawing to the worst side in the league with 11 pts.

I believe that there are no specific tactics used anymore. Besides give the ball to Doku hope he takes on 2 players everytime and KDB save us.

What Haaland did today, I doubt will ever be forgotten surely not in my eyes.

You can’t just call this a bad season. This is borderline ridiculous. Either a mass exodus happens or a new manager comes in. This isn’t main road anymore. We have sky high standards.

The worst part is that, our greatest ever player to wear the badge. Who gave everything for us. Literally. He gave his body time and time again. He won titles on his own. This is who they were playing for. That was all the motivation they needed. And they still failed him.

I know I’m my heart that we will never have a player like him ever again. Idc what Haaland or Foden do. Clearly. They will never reach KDBs legacy.

Today felt like the last straw with Pep. But I can’t say he was to blame today. People can talk about the red card, the subs to whatever but it’s plain to see this team is simply not good anymore.

On top of all of this, “it can’t go on like this can it ?”

If these players on obscene wages can’t beat a side with 2 clean sheets in 47 games or a mid table side then what evidence are you banking on for them to win the last 2 games of the season besides “we’re City innit”

IT CAN!

A well coached team should probably exploit the inevitable gaps that appear when teams double or treble up on a player, don't you think?

Yes, in the sense that there will be be gaps elsewhere, but those gaps won’t be in the immediate vicinity of Doku out on the left hand side - so I’m agreeing with you I think. Doku is the starting point for switching it elsewhere. My issue is the team need to do that faster and more creatively (and take more shots). But what I’m not doing, is blaming Doku.

Turned off after the non red card, saved myself a whole load of stress.
Well done Palace, and FA you got the result you wanted.
You didn’t miss a damn thing mate. Only chances we had were created by Kev to O’Riley who refused it use his right and Echeverri straight at the keeper
