Did I miss him scoring today?
No he didn't score nor did Erl. The point I was making is that Haaland gets a free pass all the time. He needs service blah blah. The great strikers do a bit more than wait for it on a plate. Although I agree that he and hardly any of the team are helped by Pep'd ever changing starting line up.

He can’t go from a world class player to a useless one all of a sudden. The system is not suiting his abilities and we are not playing to his immense strength.

We’re not playing to his strength I agree but he also shouldn’t have played just because he’s Haaland. It’s probably in his contract.

We’ve played much better without him, he shouldn’t have played. He should have to work his way back into the team. It is precisely his inclusion in the side, when he is questionably fit, that has fucked our last two games.

The winning system and team we had is now gone, just to accommodate a number 9 who can can’t dribble, hold it up or head the ball.

Pointless.

Christ. So it was his decision to pass the buck on the penalty.

If Marmoush has asked, he should be told to fuck off and get out my headspace. Not being handed the ball.

I was under the impression that Haaland was ruthless. Anything for a goal. That’s what a striker should be. Would Shearer or Aguero given a penalty to somebody else? Even in a friendly? Never mind a fucking FA Cup final.

Scoring a goal in a final should be something you dream of as an aspiring footballer so to get the chance handed to you on a plate but pass it up - as a striker - is bewildering to me and honestly? A bit of a worry about character too.

He’s said in the past that he’s nervous taking penalties. That was after one at home to Fulham in 2023. Do me a favour.

I find it particularly telling that weve seen no meaningful improvement in our team wide goal tallies in the 3 years since he arrived.

All he has done has made us more 1-dimensional in attack.

We were playing better before he returned from injury.

180 minutes back in and zero goals for the team.

I might be more forgiving if he was a game changer in the big matches but those are the ones where he goes missing the most.

Beginning to think he is nothing more than a flat track bully.... And now we've built our entire attacking structure around him...,.. just great.

Very clear and fundamental difference between Haaland’s strengths and play style and Pep’s tactics.
I understand the opinion based on what we see (or don’t see) from Haaland outside the box and in the channels. Yet this guy, who some believe doesn’t fit our style of play, is more prolific than any other player within it.

We all loved Sergio but people have seemingly forgotten how often there was obvious differences in what Pep wanted and what Sergio delivered. Sergio wasnt a guaranteed starter under Pep, despite people now believing that Sergio was far more suited to a Pep side. Sergio also had the advantage of being provided ammunition by a prime KDB and Silva and ably supported out wide by Sterling and Sane. Look what Haaland is working with this season.

Haaland is perfect fit for a fully-functioning Pep side. This side isn’t that and yet he still has 30 goals this season.
