Crystal Palace (N) | FA Cup Final | Post Match Thread

The biggest thing is that this was not a shock result ? This is how bad we have become in a short space of time
I even go as far as saying a big percentage of our own fans feel the result was not a shock. ONE PLAYER Rodri is out for the season, and the fucking Wheels don't just come off the whole back end dropped off.

Something or Somebody has to be held to account and answer all the questions by the fans ?
Haaland, Foden, Grealish, Silva, Ederson, look like they don't want to be here anymore
Our form dropped off a cliff when Pep announced he was staying for two more years.

Pep rightly had a beef over time wasting and maybe Henderson should have seen red but unedifying that he cannot accept that yet again his style of play has been out coached - he needs to wake up and smell the coffee at the moment he is behind the curve on modern tactics

Agree. He might have had a point, but we had 10 minutes injury time as a result. I thought that was about right - not all refs would have given that much.

We’ve been found out, big time - any whinges about time wasting (which I’d have hoped we’d do if we were winning 1-0 near the end) are irrelevant.

I believe the rule is. If the ref does not give handball or a foul outside the box, var cannot get involved. All they looked at here was, did Henderson stop a goal scoring chance. We all know he did. The ball was going away from goal because he put it there. Haalands motion was straight forward. A disgraceful decision.
ABSOLUTELY!!!

Worst BIG Ref & VAR decision I have seen in a very long time. It literally changed the outcome of a big trophy game.

At least we don't have to endure a trip down to Wembley for the charity shield against the dippers...small mercies and all that
Ha ha was thinking the same, especially with us in the CWC, getting dry bummed by that lot wouldn’t be a great way to start next season.

Some embarrassing takes on here, show some loyalty you bunch of cunts, the greatest manager of all time and he is ours,he's not playing it's the idiots who don't listen to him and the fact that the greatest player in the last few years is missing plus age related issues collectively that's the issue, what do you want fucking Alan pardew or some other bell end in charge, you will all be eating your words next season sound like fucking rag's, we've won everything ffs, entitled pricks,we can't possibly win everything every year.

You’ve got no fucking idea!

It’s just amazing to think you think Haaland would bottle out of anything.

I assume they practiced pens for the Final, and maybe Marmoush was crushing it in training.

The fucking cheek of know nowts!
Marmoush couldn't crush a grape. Imagine peak Ronaldo or Messi letting someone else take a penalty in a cup final? This is level Haaland is supposed to at now, he's paid enough!!

Ederson and Grealish didn't look like anything today

Objective be view: We tried, we really did but there was something missing - the last ball or a sharp finish (Nico O, you’re a professional, just hit it with your right foot. Embrace the moment and take it. No big bad heaviness on you, just a big learning point).

We had a lot of half chances.
Their keeper shouldn’t have been on the pitch for most of them, but he was so you press on.

They rode their luck like hell and hats off…
Not a big fan of the fake head injuries but it was paid back in 10 mins by njury time.

They did what they had to do. We didn’t quite.

Shitty VAR, but what’s new? Fuck them all, finish the league worh 2 all out wins, smash the 115 and come back with renewed will next year…

the 10 minutes of injury were for the VAR and a couple of head injuries, Their Keeper was wasting time all game and the referee booked him in the 90th minute

When did the final whistle go? I suppose one of these was overdue.

Any team that’s turned up this season who’s wanted it more has beat us. We haven’t given a fuck this year no matter what competition we’ve been in we haven’t been arsed simple as that
And this does seem to be an issue and has been — it seems sometimes like we are playing to a formula instead of playing to win. I get that hoofball is crude and ugly. But when you’ve got EH — so dangerous when marauding for a loose ball even against two converging CBs — it feels like we should be leveraging that.

It's shocking and only gets worse the more times you see it, How can VAR not give anything and then say Haaland and the ball were going wide ?? What the fuck has Haaland got to do with the their Keeper handling it outside the box
If that was Ortega, the red card would have come out quicker than a honeymooners dick. I think Pep called Henderson a cheating fucker at the end and rightly so. That was a massive turning point in the game, more than the penalty save because if Attwell did his job correctly, Henderson wouldn't have been on the pitch.

If I was a City player I would have said well done the the rest of the Palace players and staff and shook their hands, but as for Henderson, Attwell and the linesman I would never shake hands with that cheating **** and the officials who failed carry the simplest of decisions. It was blatant cheating, nothing more nothing less

The manager and 11 robots on the pitch.

1 speed (slow), no flair, no creativity and no deviation from the plan. We’re fucking boring and it’s totally and utterly passionless. Nothing changes from week to week. I just want us to play nice football and have a go, we know they can.

How can we have 78% of the ball and create as little as we did? It’s absolutely pathetic at times.

I really hope there is a change of plan in mind for next season.

Positives were that Echeverri looked decent and we don’t have to come back for the community shield.

Now to see which section of the M6 will be closed tonight to inconvenience us.
The first shot we had from outside the box was after 99 minutes.
