Everton Thread | 2024/25

They are going to cut the capacity to just over 3,000 it'll be like dragging a kitbag down the M1.

How do you cut the capacity from 50,000 to 3,000 it's hilarious :)
The stand capacities are:
  • Goodison Road - 12,664
  • Bullens Road - 10,546
  • Park End - 5,750
  • Gwladys Street - 10,612
If they retain just the Goodison Road stand they will have far more than a 3,000 capacity.

That isn't what they are doing though, it'll be the whole stadium open not just a stand it will effectively be an empty stadium. Unless they knock it down it will just be a near empty stadium.

Everton are drawing up plans about how they will reduce the capacity of Goodison Park when the club's women's team move in, including closing some of the stadium's upper tiers.
The women's team average attendance has been 2,062 at their current home at Walton Hall Park and Everton are keen to make Goodison more intimate with its current capacity at 39,572.

"good to see the fans respecting the occasion and staying off the pitch" commentator doesn't mention the 2000 strong army of perimeter security guards plus the entire Merseyside police force all there to stop them lol.

It shows how bad our recruitment has been when Everton have a full back approaching his 40th birthday who is better than anything we have in that department.
You can have him for 50 mill

Soz..I mean 50p

Good atmosphere there today. People in a great mood.

We are not our rancid neighbours

Good send off today Evertonians - a big loss to the game another great ground going away.

I've had some tremendous (and some semi-terrible) days out there..............
Very emotional, but good and enjoyable as well. A nice way to see us out. I will miss the place, but we needed to move. I have many great memories of the place, football, family and friends. Nice to know I can go along and see the ladies play there as well now.
