He looks like a player that is out of form, short on confidence and unfit. If this is related to his illness then potentially we never see the true Phil again as these autoimmune diseases (which have been alluded to on here) are no joke and can be very hard to manage in normal life never mind for an elite sportsman

He was no worse than anyone else wearing blue yesterday. He's had a crap season by his standards, admittedly, but remember what his standards were like? Rather than getting on his back, we should be looking at why; is there an underlying injury, is Pep not letting him off his leash, is it a confidence issue?

The whole squad needs to spend the summer on the training pitch, not on their hols. Phil is no exception, there's just more focus on Phil because of the focus we all placed on him to begin with.

I expected him to at least try to be influential. Yes, many were not playing well and he was brought on to change things, not merge into the pack
 
Amazed Pep even brought him on yesterday. He has been garbage this season and didn’t deserve the minutes. Grealish should have been brought on imo central.
 
If Phil's 'problems' are anywhere near as serious as some on here have suggested, he shouldn't have even been in the squad yesterday.

Assuming that Pep and his staff believed Phil was (physically and mentally) fit and ready to play, I can only conclude that Phil doesn't actually want to play football anymore. He was awful - just drifting around and having no impact on the game whatsoever.

Time to move on for a new challenge Phil.
 
If that is the case might as well sell most of the squad which is no guarantee it would lead to an upturn in our overall prospects. He still has a season to get himself back in to contention.
 
brutal decline. if this continues into next season he shouldnt even be picked for WC squad by Tuchel. I saw some video few months back that he is fishing a lot, seemed like he is enjoying that a lot more being out in nature with few friends than playing football and the pressure that comes with it.

hope he finds back to his form as we miss his important goals from last season big time. he provides nothing currently.

If his form continues into next season and he misses WC, I predict Deli Alli MK2
 
Clearly got issues going on but keep sticking him outside is utter pointless. He’s not a winger. This season was the time to leave him central instead of playing oaps

Too weak to play centrally, not quick enough to play wide. Don't know what we're going to do with him, long contract on mega wages and he looks completely and utterly cooked

Depressing. He did show signs of being Kev’s replacement but agree he’s fell off a cliff
