Bernardo Silva: “Something has to change. You learn who you can go to war with, first of all"

On this occasion though, talking shit line thatbis a pretty shit thing to do. Particularly as he himself has been invisible most of the season and only starting because he is one of Pep's favourites.

His dig could be at his teammates, could be at the manager, could be at the fans. But it is cowardly shitstirring.
Invisible covering for all the legs we don’t have in the side this season.

More likely at the authorities - we’ve been at the shitty end of many decisions by those “in authority “ over the last 3 years

That dressing room has been toxic all season I reckon.
Many players are past their expiration date and it must be frustrating playing every game and struggling when others just sit there collecting their wages. It’s all on them. It’s not like Pep holds a gun to their head.

The amount of backlash that Bernie’s getting here is terrible. He could well mean this about the fans. Sure, he’s come close to leaving a fef times, but the last time I checked he’s still at the club. The players need the fans, and as soon as we don’t have the perfect season, many are turning their backs on the players. If you’d have told yourself 20 years ago about the situation we’re in right now, you’d think you’re mad. Get behind the players. It’s a write-off of a season. If we act like rags, none of the players will have any confidence due to half of the fanbase calling the team shit after a bad patch.

Who needs friends, and not sure what a moay is ?
Moany. Think what is more important than the context of his quotes, is the timing. And when he said it vs when it was published. But it is still a pretty damn poor show, and he has gone right down in my book. He's done a yaya. Cancelo at least kept his mouth shut.

Thanks, and presumably straight after the final whistle yesterday ?
I think so. Bernardo certainly gave an interview in Portuguese where he responded to a question about Echeverri, and I’m pretty sure I’ve seen his response to that written up in English. I can’t find an interview conducted in English, so It wouldn’t surprise me if the Portuguese interview was longer and given the AI treatment, just enough for us to light the Blue(moon) touch paper.

What happens in the dressing room, stays in the dressing room. The Golden Rule
Once a player comes out and starts calling out his teammates in the media, then sorry, it's over

Silva should know better, Pep will have to get back the dressing room and sort this out quickly

You know he's done that ?

See post above yours.

Very honest player and person. Keep him and get rid of any players causing unrest.

We need to keep characters like Bernie at all costs.

Perhaps in your book, but not in mine. Nobody knows what’s behind his comments all speculation.

Can I ask how you know all this?

Has Pep become a Mourinho like toxic figure in the dressing room? There’s a lot of circumstantial evidence to suggest that’s true. Players getting dumped from the squad for no apparent reason. The teams form falling off a cliff the minute Pep said he was staying another two years. Remember we were unbeaten up to the end of October. Walker being allowed to leave without a replacement. Etc etc
